Need help from Zoroastrians

My name is Patrick, and I am a member of a paranormal society. I know that paranormal and religion can clash alot, but I had a case brought to my attention that I need some help with. I have a young woman who claims she is being possessed by a dark spirit. For awhile I thought that it was just a simple collection of dark energy, or maybe a true spirit, until the other day she told me that the thing forced her to have a vision, and that during the vision it spelled out "V, E, D, A". Veda is "knowledge", of this I already knew, but she said that she was sure the thing meant DEVA, which is another spelling of Daeva. Zoroastrians, I have done a bit of research on Daevas, but Im not quite sure I understand them. Can you guys give me a better description, and also if this is a Daeva how can I force it out of her? Will a basic exorcisim do? Or should I look for a specialist in the Zoroastrian department?

Coming a bit from demonology department, and as someone who had dealt with something similar - ^_^

Daeva are a *category* of creatures, not one specific creature. So if you're dealing with just something generic, it may be hard to get into the core of things, as with every 'occult businness'. Information is your friend. Don't forget that entity may be there for some entirely peaceful purpose. *.*

Otherwise though, try prayers specific to the religion, something the creatures of that type are likely to hear of / obey. Ahunwhar mantra could be of help, too.

As to exorcism, if you must. The religion has at least one own for those cases, as far as I'm aware. Try googling 'Kem na Mazda'. Better use the original language aka Avestan, than English. In an ideal case, you'd learn the pronunciation by studying the language and the culture for at least some time. It renders you some more authority over what you're dealing with. If you can't do that much though, there are versions of that formula read on the webs, downloadable in mp3 format.

General purity rules apply for the person, too. And it would be for the better if she abstained from paranormal contact or limited those to minimum for the time's sake.

In Zoroastrianism, things like spirits etc. do not generally come to people. Men and women advance towards good or evil with thoughts words and deeds of their own. The daevas have already so many worshippers, why would they care for a few more, by trying to penetrate in their minds?
