Perhaps a few who have commented here should dust off a few of your Deepak Choprah
books and brush up on spiritual healing.
How about a bit of Eastern Mystic Meditation?
Perhaps read of people that faced certain death from dreaded diseases and
the disease went into remission.
There is nothing "spontaneous" about remission. People that achieved remission worked
their butts off and learned a great deal about the mind/body connection

I'm of the opinion that many, many people have never considered or examined the concept and ramifications of belief enough for their purported beliefs to have any real meaning. Much of it is just simple parroting rooted in social acceptance and compliance, often from a very young age.

Unfortunately, I suspect you're right.

A warrior is such because there is an enemy to fight, right? If one hurls prayers to a god to convince that god to do something it sure sounds to me like the enemy is that god and the warrior is trying to forcefully make that god do what they want. Just my thoughts on it.
You're thinking too hard about this

I'm not saying it's always the case, but in quite a few, a "prayer warrior" is merely a "gossip." Kind of like how Post Traumatic Stress Disorder sounds better than "Shell Shock."

It's a bunch of people furiously thinking to themselves out of the misguided notion that this will somehow have a direct effect on things outside of their heads.
Hell, I believe mostly in prayer and I feel that way. However, you could also call them the Esteem Team, boosting morale (at least, in their heads they are).

I'm getting better, but when I'm depressed, I don't care if I get prayers or even just well wishes or even polite hellos. It's the fact people are thinking of me, religiously or otherwise, that gives me a boost.

That is actually one of my pet peeves. Not so much the good results meaning god healed the person and the negative results just being god's will, but the total neglecting to thank the surgeon who went to school for several years, studied very hard over many hours, worked many internships and clinicals for little or no pay, and then worked their butts off, but god gets the credit.
My grandfather had surgery to correct an aortic aneurysm. He thanked God (as did my family) and it royally ticked off the surgeon. My grandfather died on his 85th birthday, mere weeks afterward. We suspect the aorta tore again. So, in the end, neither the surgeon nor God kept him alive.

A Brazilian Christian once told me that her understanding was that everything in life that does not run smoothly is that way because of the work of the Adversary.

They sometimes talk about a "Spiritual War" that is supposedly related to their everyday life.

To the extent that I understand that, it seems that many Christians actually think that their prayers are some sort of contribution to the forces from Heaven working their way towards furthering their own goals and purposes.

Yes, it does feel a lot like a coven to me. Although I feel that I am being unfair to covens in making that comparison.

At least covens are honest about what they are and what they are trying to accomplish. ;)
