Make up your mind.
Either
Gov Abbotts strategy is working
OR
There are thousands crossing the border every day.
Governor Abbott is doing a lot more than the do nothing at all traitor in chief and Co. is doing.

Try seeing it for what it actually is for a change instead of just making up these idiotic analogies of yours.

It's pretty hilarious to see posters on this forum unironically accusing Biden of not being authoritarian enough for them.
I tend to think authoritarianism is directed toward the citizens and not toward the foreigners he's trying to hard to protect and unleash on the public.

Look at these poor misunderstood puppy dogs trying to have a good life in the country they invaded...

We both know the reason for that , and that's because the people's Democrat party doesn't like or respect the Constitution, they want to rebuild America in their own political image and one of the means to an end , aside from trying to get rid of their political opponents and getting as many foreigners in here as possible, and using them as a new political base to build up a voting population through the means of naturalization through anchor babies and keeping them dependent and reliant on the people's Democrat party.

Immigration isn't unconstitutional. America was built on it and depends on it.

You mean, like defying the entirety of government and international law? Since the majority of Americans are in favour of immigration, I guess that makes the Governor of Texas authoritarian.

and not toward the foreigners he's trying to hard to protect and unleash on the public.
Those foreigners are looking to become immigrants and refugees, ie: American citizens. If you believe them simply living in America is "unleashing them", then perhaps - dare I say it - you may just be a teensy bit racist.

If you really don't like it, move. America was built on immigrants. It literally depends on them. Racists, it can do without.

Look at these poor misunderstood puppy dogs trying to have a good life in the country they invaded...

Literally calling immigrants and refugees invaders. Good to see you finally embraced explicit ethno-nationalism.

Meanwhile, in reality, immigrants and refugees are permitted into the country, as per the law - both federal and international. Texas is opposing these laws, and defying federal authority. A bill has been proposed that would give people like you 90% of what you want, and you reject it because you literally want Biden to CLOSE THE BORDER UNILATERALLY (literally, you want him to impose authoritarian control instead of making a bi-partisan decision). Because what you claim you want is not really what you want. You say you want less divisive government, but you refuse bi-partisan solutions. You say you want democracy, then you reject democratic leadership and support overturning federal mandates. You say you don't want authoritarianism, then you decry Biden for doing things according to due law and process rather than just seizing control unilaterally.

I'm sorry that democracy isn't authoritarian enough for you. I'm equally sorry that the guy who won a free and fair election isn't he guy you wanted. I'm sorry that you may have to share your country with people of a darker skin hue than you. But, y'know, that seems like a you problem.

See, this is why this bill was an obviously dumb idea. Republicans don't want compromise. They don't even really care about border security. They care about total capitulation and authoritarian control. That's literally all this is.

Negotiators release $118 billion border bill as GOP leaders call it dead in the House

  • Just over $20 billion for border provision, including expansions to existing policies and new policies. That includes $650 million for the border wall, approximately $4 billion to hire new asylum officers and additional funds to provide counsel for unaccompanied children.
  • $60.06 in security aid for Ukraine.
  • $14.1 billion in aid for Israel.
  • $10 billion in humanitarian assistance for civilians in Gaza, the West Bank, Ukraine, and "other populations caught in conflict zones."
  • $2.33 billion for refugees from the war in Ukraine.
  • $4.83 billion for allies to "deter aggression by the Chinese government" in the Indo-Pacific region.
The proposal installs several tools to address the border, including: requiring the president shut down the border if the numbers of migrants hits a specific threshold; adjusting the rules for who qualifies for asylum; expediting the process for deciding asylum claims; and allowing migrants authorization to work while awaiting adjudication of their asylum claim.
...
She clarified that there would be a mandated border shutdown when migrant traffic reaches 5,000 "approaches" per day, the president would have the option to institute a shutdown at earlier points.

Sinema told reporters on a call Sunday that the new provisions would have shut down the border every single day this year.

"Every single day this calendar year has been over that 4,000 threshold, and many of the days have been over the 5,000 threshold," Sinema said. "If this law were already in effect, the border would have been closed every single day this year."
What does funding Israel, the war in Ukraine, and all of that other stuff have to do with securing the border? Perhaps if they got rid of all of that political pork, there would be a different outcome

$24 Billion for the border, suddenly (D)'s want to build a wall, and $90 Billion for unrelated pork???? They never intended for this to pass!

All one has to do is take a look at the Texas governor's strategy that's actually working now and then ask the question why isn't Biden doing that for the rest of the country?
The insincerity of (D)'s is evident in the sanctuary cities and states all across America that work in opposition to the Federal government.

The People's Democrat Party still wants to increase illegal entry exponentially by their own design. There is absolutely no intent to fix this invasion because it serves their political goals to take the country over completely in their favor. It's why there's so much legislation allowing illegals to benefit over. You could say you can see the writing on the wall.

What is brain dead is the traitors in the Democrat Party who don't even give a rat's *** about the American citizens and their safety.
Safety?? Americans are in more danger from the psychosis of a tyrant that holds a bible upside down and thinks he has the power to have a Seal team execute his political enemies than from children crossing a border.

And yet the frightened white men of the Right only have a selective issue with 'illegals'. There are some 400,000 Canadians currently in this country illegally - refusing to leave the country after the expiration of their visas. And not a single pious word about protecting ourselves against this 'White Invasion'. Because apparently, only black and brown 'illegals' count. No, nothing at all racist or bigoted about that.....

Incorrect and a 30 year old talking point.
The industry who gains the most from undocumented workers is Big Agriculture. Who is consistently in the pockets of Republicans. Corporate motives and Republicans are the greatest benefactors.
All you're doing is repeating something Rush manufactured without basis. (illegals can't vote)

We see time and time again where they will actively counter any attempts to close the border , that fact alone should be the red flag, demonstrated by their actions alone which speaks volumes as to where their real priorities are,, and it's not with this country whatsoever.
Ah, the gold old Great Replacement Theory.

Illegals can't vote but anchor babies eventually will when coming of age in 18 short years.

With as often as you are flat out wrong in political threads, I would say not really.
Not really. All it takes is to see the inaction of the federal government and the removal of Trumps policies essentially on day one to verify factually the intent is to remain borderless and open.

Catch and release rather than catch and deport pretty much sums it up in one neat package.

Had you actually read the article you would know that Biden merely removed the illegal policies Trump put into place.

But hey, you are all about the facts, right?

The Republican party demanded border measures to pass Israel/Ukraine funding, got what they demanded and reneged on their deal.

Now we're seeing Ukraine/Israel funding as a separate measure. It looks like the Senate will pass it since it survived with a 2/3 vote. I would not bet on MAGA house doing the same.

If the policies were actually illegal, they wouldn't be approved and implemented.

Biden's puppeteers didn't like those policies because they wanted the foreign invasion to occur , and they were / are massively successful right after removing the effective policies in place from the Trump administration that kept the illegals pretty much out of the country.

But of course you're in denial of those facts because I suspect that you support the invasion as well. Am I right?
