New Heavens and New Earth

If God always intended for the earth to be destroyed then why did he create it to begin with? Would you if you had the power to create life make something simply to be destroyed? I'm sure we all agree that if God wanted to, in a blink of an eye he could return the earth to paradise condition. The question I ask of you is...why hasn't he done so? and Do you think he will?

Because he had intended it to be a GOOD world. He shalt destroy it to eliminate the BAD.

When we look at the world we are only looking at a fraction of creation. God created the whole universe. the world and man are minute parts of it. May be one day we are intended to go out to all his creation. We certainly have a message to take.
The processes God set up including evolution and the constant changes in the universe as a whole, guarantee that individual worlds have a finite lifespan.
Other worlds other lifeforms are all Gods works.

Or since god is god, he could change it all without destroying it. God must really like destruction.

I don't know, I don't know.!:bonk:

I think G-d's creation is far greater than we can conceive - if Earth gets destroyed, perhaps there's anothe r Earth somewhere else - there might be a few.......

Dwelling over questions we cannot possibly answer is not productive - although I must admit to falling in the trap of doing so every now and then!:D

Everything in this universe is finite, it is one of its core properties. Life is finite, stars are finite, heck even the universe itself is ever changing and will one day be no more than quarks scattered across the void. Maybe God wanted to see what a universe full of creation and eventual destruction would be like, a finite existance is unimaginable to an infinite being and vice versa.

Also you're assuming the Judeo-Christian God has the ability to create an undying world or the ability to make infinite paradise - if this doesn't sit well with you then go elsewhere, there are many paths on this world. The Jains for example believe in a cyclical nature of the universe, creation - destruction - creation. The Buddhists and Taohists accept that creation is always followed by destruction. Just because one set of paths teaches that God is all good and thus creation was meant to be all good doesn't mean that is the be all and end all. Look at other beliefs until you find one that satisfies your questions.

God never intended to destroy the earth (the globe)but he will bring about a new earthly society of people who are willing to live according to his ways , just as 2 peter 3;13promises, also a new heavenly rulership to direct things on the earth ,only the ungodly will be destroyed not the earth itself
