Hey folks!
The staff team have decided to revamp the former "Comparative Religion" forum into a new "Interfaith Discussion" forum with a two new subforums: "Religions Q&A" and "Comparative Religion." As the name suggests, this forum and its subforums are for discussion only.
Our intention with this change is to address some of the concerns members have expressed about the forum DIR structure. Something both staff and members alike felt was missing from the current DIR structure was a space for outsiders of a tradition to learn about those traditions from both adherents of that tradition and knowledgable non-adherents. When most of our DIRs were green, those conversations could happen in DIRs, but since we decided to treat all DIRs as blue, those conversations lost their home on the forums. They now have a new home in "Interfaith Discussions" and "Religions Q&A" in particular. We hope this will encourage mutual sharing and learning about the world's religions!
There will be some more changes forthcoming regarding DIRs, so stay tuned!
