New Person "in Town"

ManTimeForgot

Temporally Challenged
Greetings everyone,

I'm a 26 year old male from California. I was introduced to this place by my mother (ca53buckeye) as a place to have a good debate. I'm always interested in a good debate, so here I am.

My religion, as it were, is one of my own device; culled from my experiences (I am an empiricist with Bayesian leaning) and that of all the myriad religions that I have studied. I believe that in the end all that matters is whether or not one's faith is true (that is they belief runs to their very core) and whether your "religion" has made you a better person because of it.

Hey, welcome!
I am not sure how similar our beliefs are, but I can tell you I totally agree with this sentence! I believe that everyone has core beliefs. What matters, IMO is if you act on those beliefs.

Oh hey! MTF, aren't you the one who can dispel darkness from a room? That's really amazing! Have you always been as sensitive to such things as you are now?
