I favour impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanour.

I dont favour talking about it the minute someone
gets elected.

I think what's truly scary is that when Trump is under pressure he tends to try and deflect attention onto something else. In the past, many autocratic leaders "solved" this problem by starting wars, and lately Trump has ramped-up his verbal attacks on North Korea and Iran. However, a deflection by him may take a different course as we're seeing with his condemnation of the media, whereas a recent poll of Republicans has it that now 51% of them agree with Trump that the media is "the enemy of the people".

Or what if he is to be removed by the Senate as the final act of impeachment but refuses to leave, calling out the military as Commander-In-Chief to "protect" him? Or if he refuses the same if he loses the 2020 election?

Or what if he fires all federal officials, including Mueller, has a purge within the FBI and CIA, allowing only his supporters to remain, and then refuses to allow any funding for any investigation against him? Or what if he pardons in advance anyone who's a ""target" or "subject" of Mueller's investigation, including himself?

These are not my ideas but what I have heard or read some constitutional experts say could be possible down the road.

I won't go as far as outright prediction, but every time I hear the news these days I fully expect to hear a report of the US equivalent of the Reichstag fire. Some self generated emergency that can be blamed on a convenient scapegoat and used as an excuse to delay November election and/or remove opponents, political and legal, from position of threat.

What scares me is not the possibility of sudden changes for the worse.

It is the continuing, gradual yet severe dismantling of the USA's best institutions as people become desensitized to what was shortly ago unthinkable - such as a POTUS defending the KKK with lies, or families split apart by officers of the US law at the frontiers.

That's all pretty tragic on a micro level. The gutting of the EPA will impact people all around the world, not to mention non human life. Unwarranted military action is pretty terrifying, too. Those are my two big concerns.

I find Trump to a dangerous and loathesome man.

Hillary, little if any better.

Kinda glad i am not a citizen.

In China, you at least have to be very
tough and competent to get to the top.

Im coming to China

This has to stop. Really, enough. If I had a dollar for every time someone tried to connect Hillary in a Trump thread I could retire to the Caribbean. It has been two years, quit it!
I am not even American and I so agree.

This is becoming embarrassing. Almost a cult to some dark fantasy-land monstrous caricature of Hillary raised to an actual policy principle.

And in China people have no freedoms that we enjoy here. Competent dictators who are very good at repression has nothing to recommend it to me. Especially an expansionist, aggressive kind of dictatorship such as China is today.

So bite me. There were two terrible choices.
You cant separate his election from that fact.
I bet the impeachment chorus would be just
as strong if she'd won.

Don't you think you're being a bit disingenuous? Hillary will always be a factor in comparing Trump to anything simply because many of those that find Trump to distasteful to swallow do so only because their candidate lost.
