Hi, I have a few questions regarding Baha'i faith. It seems very interesting to me and I am looking to learn more.

First I was wondering why its promotes equality for men and woman yet woman cant be at the head of the universal house of justice? Isn't this a contradiction?

What is the ultimate goal to achieve? What happens when we die?

If I became a Baha'i, I work in bars and although I don't have a problem not drinking myself would I be able to continue working my job? Also would I still be able to go out with friends when they are drinking even if I don't drink myself?

What happens to people who are christians/muslims ect when they die if they dont acept bahai as their faith?

Thats all for now.

Thanks for your time

For us it is not a contradiction... that is promoting the equality of men and women is not for us a problem when it comes to the Universal House of Justice... that Institution was established in 1963 and is based on the provisions revealed by Baha'u'llah in His Most Holy Book which was revealed in 1871. Women have served in many ways to promote the Faith and lead it...including Hands of the Cause and Counselors.. Also there are many social development projects around the world that promote the education of women and elevation of them in society... The House of Justice is not the result of an old boy network or male chauvinistic thing.. You can check on the statement of the House for yourself to see that there is nothing that hints at male supremacy!

What is the ultimate goal to achieve?

To unite the world and eliminate racial, sexist and class prejudice.

What happens when we die?

The soul eventually comes into the presence to God through progressing through the worlds of God.

If I became a Baha'i, I work in bars and although I don't have a problem not drinking myself would I be able to continue working my job?

I think you would be allowed time to find other work ... so it would be flexible to allow to to transition to another job.

Also would I still be able to go out with friends when they are drinking even if I don't drink myself?

That would be up to you... An important thing is that your friends will see that you are not drinking and ask you why..

What happens to people who are christians/muslims ect when they die if they dont acept bahai as their faith?

All of us we believe will eventually come to the presence of God.. We believe though that the prophecies of the Bible and Qur'an have now been fulfilled.

Thats all for now.

Thanks for your time
