New Years Resolutions

Is there ever a good outcome to New Years resolutions or is it a waste of time? Do failed resolutions do more harm than if we hadn't made them?

Depends on how ambitious the person making them is. After all, setting one too high, that requires many steps to get there, will probably fail. That isn't profitable.

However, setting one low enough to attain, now that can be very profitable and aid in self-improvement...

I never keep my New Year's resolutions....I always keep the promises I make to my son though. I can't even imagine how bad I would feel breaking one of them....and keeping them feels very good.
