Noah

Whiterain

Get me off of this planet

Ya'll watch that film? It was awfully long and and a horrible, yet artistic interpretation of a
few paragraphs worth of bible story.

I thought Tubal Cain was a Pacific Islander at first then he turned out to be an Englishman.

Wasn't even Sumeria and was a bunch of Caucasians with welding helmets.

I think it bordered on being deliberately insulting and slightly anti-Semitic.

I did enjoy watching Noah go into psychosis.

I liked the movie. I thought the imagery used to depict the devastation of the land by Cain's line showed parallels with our modern global cultures uses and abuse of nature. I like the nod to the Watchers but felt the negative aspects were downplayed considerably.

Outstanding, some comeuppance.

It was artistic and all but I thought it should of taken place in an environment like
ancient Sumeria.

I was expecting to see some Ziggurats and a lot more middle-eastern people.

The watchers were golems though.. I thought the "watchers" were done awfully, even though
it was trying to be a little poetic. I can't recall the whole legend of the watchers, I know witches
and witchcraft were involved. I read the book of Enoch ages ago.

It would have been better if they just rounded up the league of strongman to represent
the giants instead of making the watchers the giants.

I thought it was insulted American creationists, a little. I laughed a bit during the film.

Even though the Noah family were probably Pagans, not monotheists. The original
story would have placed the event in Sumeria, to the best of my knowledge.

It wasn't awful, it was artistic and high budget, just an interpretation I didn't enjoy.

Edit:
At the time Marduk would have been God, I think...

Isn't that the legend, Marduk created the flood by shooting the northern ice shelf with his bow?

At the time, we were still coming out of the ice age...

Zeus also has a deluge legend, I am uncertain if he used a bow.
