Sexuality might be the best venue if your intent is to simply ask, accept answers you receive and discuss them.Would it be better if I put in under Psychology?

Sexuality is probably not the best place for it, as sexuality is a whole other kettle of fish than gender identity.Sexuality might be the best venue if your intent is to simply ask, accept answers you receive and discuss them.
So is it a matter of a person who is not comfortable with masculine and femininity expressions non-binary, and those who are comfortable with such expressions binary? My partner is nonbinary, and for them this is an acknowledgement that despite having a female biology, they have never felt completely comfortable with feminine pronouns and social expressions. They also do not feel comfortable with the masculine either. They feel like their identity cannot be adequately expressed with a "this or that" option.
Perhaps I did put it in the wrong forum, I was just wondering about the difference between a binary person vs non-binary person. I understand binary means 2, is it a case where people who believe gender is binary are called binary people, and people who believe gender is non binary are non binary people? Or am I missing something?@Kfox ~ If you're not nonbinary, I'm not understanding why this is in a debate forum. I'm also failing to see what this has to do with politics. Are you under the impression that nonbinary is a political affiliation or position?

A non binary person doesn't conform to social norms of binary (masculine-feminine) gender and will break gender expression "rules."So is it a matter of a person who is not comfortable with masculine and femininity expressions non-binary, and those who are comfortable with such expressions binary?
Is that it? A friend of mine is a stay at home dad because his wife makes more money. This does not confirm to social norms, and breaks all of the gender expression rules; yet he does not consider himself non binary.A non binary person doesn't conform to social norms of binary (masculine-feminine) gender and will break gender expression "rules."
Which gender expression rules does he break? Does he conform to a masculine appearance, or does he break those rules? (Women generally have a greater range of socially acceptable gender expression. Women can wear dresses or trousers, but men wearing dresses is oftentimes considered to be "unmanly.")Is that it? A friend of mine is a stay at home dad because his wife makes more money. So if a woman doesn't wear makeup and dresses like a tom boy, that's non binary? If binary means 2, where does this fit into the picture?Which gender expression rules does he break? It can be a nonbinary expression. Tomboys are generally socially acceptable for women, so she may or may not identify as nonbinary. So if a woman doesn't wear makeup and dresses like a tom boy, that's non binary? If binary means 2, where does this fit into the picture?
Sorry, dad.I told you to do that over an hour ago. Don't you remember?
I was non-binary for about 6 years then went back to binary because we needed more money. Is that it? A friend of mine is a stay at home dad because his wife makes more money. As I understand it, a binary person identifies as exclusively male or exclusively female, whereas a non-binary person identifies as neither or both.Perhaps I did put it in the wrong forum, I was just wondering about the difference between a binary person vs non-binary person. Do you mean social norms in 1950?Is that it? A friend of mine is a stay at home dad because his wife makes more money. This does not confirm to social norms, and breaks all of the gender expression rules; yet he does not consider himself non binary.
