Nice dreams, but democracy matters. From the "what's good for the goose" dept.
But not to Trump and the MAGA cult, which is the problem.Nice dreams, but democracy matters.
So if a president, lets say Biden for instance, sees an opponent as a clear and present danger to the democracy, lets say Trump just for an example, Would Biden acting in his role as a president seeing an opponent as the threat to the country and has him taken out, would he then be immune because it was his duty to protect the constitution? From the "what's good for the goose" dept.
I would think it more feasible to delay the election. After all, there is a threat to the constitution if an insurrectionist is elected President, so as a part of his official duty to 'uphold and protect the constitution', he is well within the defined role laid out by the Supreme Court if he stops the election until all of Trump's trials are completed, including appeals. And as the same Supreme Court has just affirmed this, any attempt to force the election through the court system would naturally fail.So if a president, lets say Biden for instance, sees an opponent as a clear and present danger to the democracy, lets say Trump just for an example, Would Biden acting in his role as a president seeing an opponent as the threat to the country and has him taken out, would he then be immune because it was his duty to protect the constitution?
So does character.Nice dreams, but democracy matters.

And yet he continues "forgiving" student loans even after the SCOTUS has ruled it unconstitutional for him to do so.Biden has already stated he will not abuse the power.
“I know I will respect the limits of the presidential powers I’ve had for three-and-a-half years, but any president – including Donald Trump – will now be free to ignore the law."
Still will require congressional approvalFrom the "what's good for the goose" dept.

So you advocate for overthrowing democracy because you don't like someone's character? So does character.
I can almost see a Biden campaign ad boasting that he took out the greatest threat to democracy, and now America is safe once again!

So does "forgiving" student debt. But that doesn't stop Biden from doing it. Nor did the SCOTUS ruling that said he was acting unconstitutionally. Biden sees himself as a king, as evidenced by his own actions and even his own words (by accusing Trump of wanting to be a king).Still will require congressional approval
Ok then.I was agreeing with and reinforcing the comment by @Wandering Monk. How you came up with your interpretation of my remark is beyond me.
Isn't it the democrats in high positions who want to replace Biden with a different candidate even though the people have already voted in a democratic election process to nominate Biden as their democrat candidate? But not to Trump and the MAGA cult, which is the problem.
Actually I view Biden as a sock puppet president with those unelected pulling his strings doing stuff like that.So does "forgiving" student debt. But that doesn't stop Biden from doing it. They might even decide to just cut the puppet's strings. A new puppet may be needed when this one gets too worn out. Those at the top seem to be the one trying to pressure the guy into giving up running for reelection. As a result, he may be (ahem!) forced out.Actually I view Biden as a sock puppet president with those unelected pulling his strings doing stuff like that.
I can see his puppeteers creating death lists that would rival Stalin.
