Hello guys. Time to take a vote.

Do you consider nudity moral or immoral?

This of course refers to the general sense, not the specific sense. Like for example, walking naked downtown in the middle of the night, not with a married couple fooling around alone in their bed room (I guess it happens in the middle of the night too, lol).

What do you think?

As said earlier there is nothing moral or immoral about being naked; think the fact some people think being naked is immoral, says more about them, then anyone else.

God designed us to be naked, and some people are crazy to be so obsessed by us being covered up.

It was refreshing to be among a hippy party, where everyone was free to be naked, and no religious fundies making everyone feel guilty for being as God designed.

There was also a radio broadcast by a Māori friend, who had been traveling among tribes around the world, explaining how refreshing they found it to be naked, and free of the stigma attached to our own body.

Telling someone they should be ashamed for the way God designed them is immoral. :innocent:

Sorry, I'm so stupid to understand rhetoric questions. Perhaps you can add something clear to the discussion?;)
He asks why God did not create us dressed in proper, 'moral' attire.

Nudity is morally neutral.
In some tropical regions it's normal and raises no eyebrows. In other societies people are shocked to see someone not covered head to toe. It's all cultural.

Personally, I'd be completely comfortable if people started walking around town naked.

It just is. If God wanted clothes he would have us born fully clothed. Although there are practical reasons to have clothing. In a job that requires safety coverings for WH&S or to keep warm during colder months (depending on where you live.)

For my opinion it's immoral.

If its about intentionally ,in middle of night or day it's very probably , she/he would be arrested lol
except IF she/he had mental problem.

I picked neither. Only actions have moral worth. Nudity isn't an action.

I believe in self-restraint and humility as both (good) moral virtues, which may be violated if one walked naked in the streets. It really depends the intent for which you are walking down the street first. Also I believe this issue is heavily related to sex and sexual urge (and the morality of that). (if Nudity did not have sexual connotations then this problem would not arise).

Nudity is moral. The ability to feel comfortable naked is a good sign as treating nudity as immoral is really a way to demonise sex as unnatural or evil/destructive. Enjoying our own nudity or others (based on consent) is a healthy ability to explore attraction.

But why would he/she be arrested? What makes nudity immoral in itself? It's not hurting anyone. The people who are offended by nudity are doing it to themselves because it's all about perspective.

I noticed that for some reason whenever morals come up, offense is assumed as the reason behind it. Why is that?

I only put that word because it seems to be appropriate for this discussion.

Perhaps one ought to ask 'What is the definition of immoral'?

Nudity in road is like misrespect the humans commun sense about how they clothes.
Same thing for sex in road.

I ask you to try it to find out,so when they arrest you ask them "WHY" and tell them "NUDITY IS MORAL" :p

Cool. I can't see the discussion implying it is about offense in anyway, but that's a different subject. I just wanted to know your reason.

As for the definition of immoral, perhaps you could share yours with us? May be it could give an impression of why you chose offense. I personally can't put it in words. If I manage, I'll give you a heads up.
