Comparing my budget to linwood's, I see we made exactly the same budget cuts, but I raised taxes more.

Correction: Linwood cut foreign aid in half and I didn't.

It`s that damn conservatism in me.
I`m trying to flush it out of my system but it`s tough.

In my own defense I`d be more than willing to re-establish foreign aid as soon as we were back in the black.

Honestly, I think it would almost be this easy. They just make it seem harder than it has to be.

I believe it is really almost that easy.

Our leaders are too busy being bought by corporate interests, pandering to extremist groups, and solidifying their political power to actually do their jobs.

If you look at each option at the NYT site for fixing the budget there is a self centered reason for not doing so that fits somewhere in the areas I`ve mentioned above

I needed a huge surplus so we could work on healthcare, renewable energy, and a national university system.
