Prophecy has a context. The context of Isaiah 14 is that the Israelites have been made to serve in Babylon in exile and HaShem is promising that they will be returned to Israel. The haughty Babylonian King will be struck down and the Israelites relieved of their burden.

First, I should not make the mistake of calling myself Catholic, as I have not been in communion with the Church for many years. I am a fallen soul, who worships my own flesh. I am a sinner and I follow Satan, and he has performed many miracles for me. And I hate him.
Landon? Are you being serious right now?

Well, you're the one who chose to self identify here on the forum and at least as of the moment I am typing this you apparently have done nothing to change it.

I will not snip the last thread of my hope. No.

...Why would you suggest I do..? I might descend further!

The reason for this thread is to warn you all, and to make others aware of Satan and how he works, by someone who works on the inside.

This is just your theology though and does not work for Noahides or Jews or millions of others.

No, it does not. Not everyone believes in the same idea of Satan as you, if any idea of Satan at all.

That's to their own dismay. But then, ignorance is bliss as RabbiO has made clear.

Please listen to my song. It's the song of my life. I've spent many nights in the shadows.

I ain't never been right as I ain't never been wrong
it seldom turns out the the way it does in this song

once in a while you get shown in the light
In the strangest of places if you look at it right

well, there ain't nothing wrong with the way she moves
scarlet begonias or a touch of the blues
and there's nothing wrong with the look that's in her eyes

I had to learn the hard way,
let her pass by...

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, who didst rise in the morning? how art thou fallen to the earth, that didst wound the nations? And thou saidst in thy heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit in the mountain of the covenant, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the height of the clouds, I will be like the most High. But yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, into the depth of the pit.

Jude 1

I see Satan as a metaphor for the unconscious mind. Tempting us with desires, unconstructive thought.

The battle with evil is to let go of these preconceived ideas of evil. The unconscious mind is not evil, it is just doing what it was designed to do, keep you alive. How you act on these desires is a conscious decision.

The unconscious mind needs us for guidance just as much as we need it for survival. Our job to keep "Satan" in his place.

If you give the unconscious mind dominance, who's to blame? There's no one else. Just you and the unconscious going about life together. Even if you accept the metaphysical view, kind of tough to blame Satan for your own failings.
