...I really feel like a backstabber, as Satan has been so good to me. Because I know him so well. At least I think I do, because of what he has led me to believe.

But I have to rebuke him publicly for my own dignity.
Why would you rebuke him when the scriptures say even the archangel Michael did not dare to, but called on the Lord to do so?

But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you! ”Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.

I see Satan as a metaphor for the unconscious mind. Tempting us with desires, unconstructive thought.

The battle with evil is to let go of these preconceived ideas of evil. The unconscious mind is not evil, it is just doing what it was designed to do, keep you alive. How you act on these desires is a conscious decision.

The unconscious mind needs us for guidance just as much as we need it for survival. Our job to keep "Satan" in his place.

If you give the unconscious mind dominance, who's to blame? There's no one else. Just you and the unconscious going about life together. Even if you accept the metaphysical view, kind of tough to blame Satan for your own failings.

I don't want to be tempted by any of the desires this "unconscious mind" insists on offering me. I hate it. Not because I was told to, but because it is in my way. Blocking me. And I don't appreciate it.

I can't explain how traffic lights turn green for me on a successful mission, and red lights tell me it will be a fail. I can't describe how I can taste and smell things before they happen, and how tasting and smelling something else means a forthcoming faulilure.

I can't expect anyone to believe that Satan speaks to me in these ways. And rewards me when I do bad, but I swear it is true.

...But even after these miracles that Satan performs for me, and after his gifts to me, I hate him even more.

I rebuke him publicly. Right now, for all to hear. And I expose his miracles for others to know how he works.

Whatever, maybe you do experience these things, maybe they are due to satan, and maybe you hate him, but I don't believe you have any power to rebuke a being as satan who is much more powerful than you are. I am aware of the devices of satan and/or demons.
You or anyone are helpless against him, you need Jesus.

If anyone else has experienced this, I would appreciate them bringing it up here now.

By rebuke, I only mean I'm physically exposing him with my mouth and my hands here today on the internet. And I hope he hears me right now.

I DENOUNCE YOU DEVIL... And I expose your methods.

And you shall bear this parable against the king of Babylon, and you shall say, "How has the dominator ceased, has ceased the haughty one!
The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked, the rod of the rulers.
Who would smite peoples with wrath, incessant blows, ruling nations with anger, pursued without relenting.
'All the land rested, became tranquil,' they opened [their mouth] in song.
Box trees, too, rejoiced at you, the cedars of the Lebanon; 'Since you were laid low, the cutter will not come upon us.'
Gehinnom from beneath quaked for you, toward your arrival; it aroused for you the giants, all the chiefs of the earth; it caused all the kings of the nations to rise from their thrones.
All of them shall speak up and say to you, 'Have you too become weak like us? Have you become like us?'
Your pride has been lowered into Gehinnom, the stirring of your psalteries. Maggots are spread under you, and worms cover you.
How have you fallen from heaven, the morning star? You have been cut down to earth, You who cast lots on nations.
And you said to yourself, 'To the heavens will I ascend, above God's stars will I raise my throne, and I will sit on the mount of the assembly, in the farthest end of the north.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will liken myself to the Most High.'
But into the nether world shall you be brought down, to the bottom of the pit.
Those who see you shall look at you; shall gaze earnestly at you, 'Is this the man who caused the earth to quake, who wrought havoc among the kingdoms?
Who made the land like a desert, and his cities he demolished; for his prisoners he did not open the house.
All kings of nations, all of them, lay in honour, each in his house.

- Isaiah 14:4-18.

I was going to ask w
hat your translation for הֵילֵ֣ל was, but I see you provide it here.

Are you unaware that your own translation includes "lucifer"?? It's the archaic English term for "the morning star", a term that appears in your translation as well.

Look, we can of course debate the anthropomorphism that is ascribed to the term he-lel in this verse, and it is totally valid to argue that "Lucifer" here does not refer to the devil, but to say that "lucifer" is an mistranslation is incorrect. The translation is correct, it's your understanding of the English language and the term "lucifer" that is deficient. At most, the translation is archaic (but this is the KJV translation, of course it uses slightly archaic language).

I would think of more importance than you rebuking the devil, is to ask yourself what is going on in your life or what are you doing in the first place which is allowing the devil into your life and the opportunity to manipulate your circumstances.

"The Bible does not give Christians the authority to rebuke the devil, but to resist him. James 4:7 says to "submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Zechariah 3:2 tells us that it is the Lord who rebukes Satan. Even Michael, one of the most powerful of the angels, did not dare to accuse Satan, but rather said, "The Lord rebuke you" (Jude 1:9). In response to Satan's attacks, a Christian should appeal to Christ. Instead of focusing on defeating the devil, we should focus on following Christ (Hebrews 12:2) and trust that He will defeat the forces of evil.

It is not necessary for a Christian to rebuke Satan because God has given us His full armor to stand against evil (see Ephesians 6:10-18). The most effective weapons we have against the devil are our faith, wisdom, and knowledge about God and His Word. Christ, when tempted by Satan, answered him with Scripture (see Matthew 4:1-11). To gain victory in spiritual matters, we must maintain a clear conscience and have control over our thoughts. "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)."

Do Christians have the authority to rebuke the devil?

I allowed a demon into my bodily temple when I was young and much more naive. Later, he invited his "friend".

Yes, but it doesn't mean devil. It refers to the planet Venus.

"Lucifer" is a Latin word, not English. They inserted an unnecessary non-English word instead of just leaving it as "morning star", or rather they left it untranslated from the Vulgate.

Add to that Jesus referring to himself as "the bright and shining morning star" in Revelation. Christians are confused.
Lol Martin Luther referred to his wife as the morning star. He Being the scholar, and how she was, makes his meaning pretty funny actually.

Then why haven't you as Jesus to save and deliver you from this demonic activity by now?

I've prayed and prayed and prayed... others have prayed for me as well, but for some reason, God will not rescue me yet.

Hopefully some day. I believe in Jesus. I believe in scriptures. I pray for deliverance. Lord save me!

Really sick of this mistranslation.

'Lucifer' is nowhere in Hebrew and the Isaiah passage is about a King.
Well my Bible says devil. Look I have proof.
