Let me tell you about guns in Haight Ashbury in the 1960s. There were more guns in the four square blocks of the Haight and the "peaceful" than there EVER was in the four blocks of Louisiana Street downtown Houston, ever.

And especially when the speed-ball (horse herion with crystal meth speed) hit the streets of the Haight. It is amazing some of the stuff I have to listen to. The Weathermen didn't have guns and bombs? How about the Black Panthers? I saw them regularly in Oakland Ca.

How many left wingers did I know who not only had guns and were so paranoid it wan't even funny and were into bombs and also poison - more than a few.

My God, get a clue. The most paranoid and bomb crazies of all, besides the Radical Muslims, is the far left.

By the way, the gin sales has nothing to du with fear, fear of Muslims nor any stch crap.

The jump in gun sales is the legit concedn that Obama and Lynch are going to try and grab guns. It isn't fear, it is seeing the obvious.

In actuality a law enforcement officer finally got through to the public and the smart ones finally realized that maybe climate change and firearms were not the problem that the Obama said was the major threat. Oh by the way doesn't the Obama know that there are Dept of Homeland Security personnel on the No-Fly-List. Fear of reduced availability in the future doesn't really rise to the level of fear relating to danger.
It's more of an economic decision....like fear of rising gas prices.
The other effect at work is that terrorism & government calls for gun control raise awareness & interest.
