Eating, in an of itself, is not a so-called "evil" act. The 800 lb gorillas in the room (pun quite intentional), are over eating, poor eating habits and abysmal understanding of nutrition. It's those three that create the obese in our midst and is not the fault of food itself. What's so evil about eating that we are stricken with fat over it?

There's a simple reason for fat accrual - it could (or could have, in a different era) save your life. We evolved to consume far less, but our instincts inform us through pleasurable eating experience what is "best" for us to consume in order to gather energy for ourselves. In early times, like any other animal, we didn't necessarily know where our next meal was coming from. Knowing "what to eat" was paramount to survival - so you had to "listen to your body" to know what was the best nutritionally. But now, heeding those pleasurable experiences means you over-eat. And the prevalence of convenient food in this day and age means you over-eat every time. What's so evil about eating that we are stricken with fat over it?

The main problem is the addiction to the white high glycemic
carbs, the cocaine of food: Sugar, white flour, corn and potatoes. Too much dairy, and high fat meats contribute to the problem.
Obesity is a self inflicted disease.
