It is zee, not zed.

Come on Canadians, Australians and English speaking Europeans, say it with me..."zee".

And it's "aitch" not "haitch".

Further more, it is connection, not connexion, civilization is spelt with a zee, not a "S" and you use double quotation marks when someone is speaking, not single quotation marks.

:p

Actually, I think the American use of the quotation marks is a bit backwards....but that is not the issues! This is way it is done!

But the English invented English. They say it's ZED, and not only that but ALUMINIUM. And neighbour. And cheque. And it's a QUEUE, not a line. And HARMONISE not harmonize.

If two people want to get there, they're going to have to use their wits too.

Just for the record, proper English pronunciation is zed.

Don't get me started about that jerk Humphry Davy...it should've stayed alumium as he originally intended!

" Just for the record, proper English pronunciation is zed."

Because! They spurned our invitation to join the U.S.!
Articles of Confederation said:
XI.
Canada acceding to this confederation, and adjoining in the measures of the United States, shall be admitted into, and entitled to all the advantages of this Union; but no other colony shall be admitted into the same, unless such admission be agreed to by nine States.

Also, it is absolutely NOT "All of the sudden", but rather "All of A sudden."

And it's "One fell swoop", not "One foul/fowl swoop"!!

<tee hee> Admiral Cockburn. :D

I admit that perhaps we should be grateful that it took a "gradual" 20 years from the Gradual Civilization Act to lead to the Indian Act of 1876 and that it wasn't a hasty thing at all...:p

Or maybe that's more a :(.

Whoah, you're way out of my league now, history man. When it comes to the war of 1812, if it isn't in that Arrogant Worms tune, I don't know it. :p (But yeah, the Indian act is a definite :()
