I wonder what reaction a "Christian Free Zone" sign would get if posted in the Muslim heartland?
No doubt all those Muslims would be all up in arms declaring it wrong and immoral, etc. right?

There's only one thing Americans love more than freedom, and that's deciding who can be free and who can't.
I think this is more a function of media attention.
Thousands of places are in the business and the number of them with this policy can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
I suspect that it is usually a desperation ploy. If your shop is doing poorly this is a way to get a bunch of free advertising. Nothing to do with Muslims really.

A sign of things to come?

OKLAHOMA CITY (RNS) A gun range in Oktaha, a small town near Muskogee, has joined a growing list of U.S. businesses that advertise themselves as “Muslim-free.”

Gun range manager Chad Neal, a medically discharged veteran who was deployed to Iraq in 2003, said last month’s shooting at the military recruiting station in Chattanooga, Tenn., prompted him to hang the sign in the door of the business, called Save Yourself Survival and Tactical Gear.

“I didn’t want any terrorists, or Muslims, cult, whatever you want to call them, training on my gun range,” Neal said. “There is a military recruiting station in the mall in Muskogee, and I thought this was one thing I could do to help protect our local soldiers.”

The Council on American-Islamic Relations tracks businesses that ban Muslims, and it called for the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate.

“It is clear to us that the establishment of Muslim-free zones is a violation of the law,” said Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR. “There are clear laws that prohibit discrimination based on religion. This kind of thing is in violation of the U.S. Constitution and the American spirit of respect for the rule of law.”

And how will they tell the specific religion of people who enter the store???

They can install a Muslim detector... a shawurma booth :D
Did you know that southeast Michiganistan is one of the best places in the world for great gun stores & shwarma (how it's spelled here) restaurants?
(Our local Muslims are armed, peaceful, & great cooks.)
I'll tell ya, I'm disappointed anytime I get mid east food elsewhere in Americastan!
Mjadara is the hardest thing to find well done.

To be fair, Oklahoma is not representative of most states. It is one of 50 territories, and in that territory are a mixture of people. Some of them are gun store owners.

I've heard some pretty nasty ways about the terrible way women are treated in certain parts. I got to hear one friend who visited complain about how she was questioned her and challenged her on if she was asking for the right part or not, and wouldn't even sell it to her in the end anyways. Her mom said she wasn't even allowed to carry out her own bag from the convenience store. Even my friend's dad noticed that women were pretty much ignored when they were stepping into "man's territory."

I understand where the guy is coming from even though personally I wouldn't put something like that in place, for any group..and it does make sense that he's from a region trying to allow refusal of service to homosexuals and such. Almost everyone I've trained in the last couple months were Muslim.

Also, letting someone rent a lane on a range to shoot a stationary paper target isn't very effective training....more recreation.

What he and others like him could do, legally and easily, is set up a screening process to help with weeding out the mentally unstable or people seeming "radical."
