Not me, but my 11 year old daughter (who actually likes a lot of old music, including stuff I'm not into) was telling me that Coldplay have released a new song, and she really likes it...

Love a bit of Kraftwerk. An album from that era which still sounds fresh and futuristic, is David Bowie's Low

There was this soundtrack used in a video game I recently played which got stuck in my head and brightened my day, so I had to look it up.

It turns out this kind of music is called Vaporwave.
Although the style itself is not that old yet, it uses samples from old, obscure and subtle 80's and 90's music used in commercials, elevators, malls, etc.

This is the soundtrack I was looking for:

Callisto

Hellenismos, BTW
I just posted on another forum about a new "old" genre, Bardcore (aka Tavernwave). It's not "old songs I just discovered" but medieval-style remakes of (mostly older) modern songs. Sometimes instrumental or the lyrics art madeth antiquat'd to matcheth the p'riod.

Somebody To Love (Queen)

Jolene (Dolly Parton)

Sea Odyssey... er, Space Odyssey (David Bowie)

Enter The Sandman (Metallica)

Callisto

Hellenismos, BTW
And a special mention to a smaller micro-genre, Bronzecore (contemporary music, Bronze Age style).

Misirlou (Pulp Fiction)

Sunshine Of Your Love (Cream)

Thunder (Imagine Dragons)
