So, while I was cleaning out a closet at the museum, I found a load of treasure.

Old Newspapers!!!

What a great find. One of the headlines is even of the Seattle Fire.

Nice!

When I was younger the largest newspaper here started printing old WW2 pages, as part of a commemoration of the end of the war.

From memory it was 50 years after it ended, so 1995.

At the end, they published a soft cover book with all the pages in, which I have at home if you're interested in Australian pages of the same era.

Also have an RAAF (Aussie Air Force) book published in 1942. Fair to say some of the jokes and stories have aged better than others...!!!

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

I have one from 1945.

God the ads and the prices of things. You could get a pair of jeans for $3.50.
