Oligarchy and Corruption, episode 8713: Koch and Monsanto

In this episode we see Koch and Monsanto exacerbating: topsoil depletion, aquifer besmirching, topsoil fowling, small farmer destroying, and climate change all in one fell swoop!

And that's not even to start on GMOs and their potential long term harms on the ecosystem.

And as an extra bonus, the EPA appears to be complicit!

Bought and paid for by corporate lobbyists.

It's depressing.

Yet another example of our friendly, neighborhood Oligarchy is destroying everything. In this episode we see Koch and Monsanto exacerbating: topsoil depletion, aquifer besmirching, topsoil fowling, small farmer destroying, and climate change all in one fell swoop!

Monsanto's glyphosate (Roundup) has actually been beneficial in reducing topsoil erosion by allowing no-till & low-till farming.
And the problem with fertilizer pollution is improper usage....something hard to blame on Monsanto or the Kochs.

My understanding (a bit of thin ice here), is that M&K recommend and enforce heavy usage.

I don't get that impression.
Fertilizer (& pesticide) application is being applied more carefully these days with remote sensing, GPS location, & variable deposition.
I've read nothing about anyone opposing such conservation measures.
And farmers have a strong incentive to not overuse spendy products.

Nor to purposely destroy their source of income.
