On Stage...

Do any of you here like to do any acting?
I am an actress in the Sixth Street Theatre/Melodrama, I have been with them for 3 years and I love to do drama in school. At the theatre we have people that come back every summer to see the melodramas from all over the U.S. I love doing it!
I am mad because drama at school this year I was supposed to be assistant director (due to my experience) and have the lead role, and a couple teachers decided that they didn't want to have drama this year. At my school it is an extracurricular activity.

I love to be in front of the audience. That is why I love melodrama's because the audience participation is required! Boo/Hiss for the villian and Yea/Cheer/Awe for the Hero/heroine And then the actors have to feed off of what the audience does and still say their lines. After the hour long play is the Kelly's Alley Revue, it is a comedy, skit, singing hour. It is so fun!!! Everyone should make reservations and come to the set of the Dante's Peak movie!

I've been on stage on a regular basis since about the age of 8, doing dance concerts, choir concerts, dramas, comedies, musicals, and speech and debate tournaments. Recently I have also been performing in the Renaissance Festival (singing, dancing, and acting) and at my church I've recently been doing choir performances, a few plays, and once a lay-sermon.
