Deification is relative to the people who are willing to go there. People who haven't been already put him on that pedestal aren't likely to.

While I am impressed by his foresight in standing and raising a fist in defiance after nearly being killed, it doesn't really change my opinion of him or his politics, and I know I am not alone. I hope maybe the incident might force a large amount of introspection on his part and maybe soften his speech a bit. But I am not going to bet my vote on it. His policies are dangerous and are taking America away from both its ethos of "liberty and justice for all" and progress towards efficient and healthy management of resources.

Biden has his record as a President. There are negatives in it, but comparatively he's done fairly well.
I suspect once the shock of an assassination attempt wears off, this "martyrdom" is going to be restricted to his core base. That's especially if he doesn't change his public image. He might have a shot of winning new votes if he openly becomes introspective and softens some of his language.
But you have to remember, this is still Trump with criminal convictions, indictments dealing with national security, a relationship with authoritarian strongmen, is a threat to women's health and the LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities, and attempted to thwart the peaceful tranfer of power that led to January 6th. Looking strong after getting grazed by a bullet doesn't change these things.
