Opportunity to participate in the tradition of walking barefoot, a practice that is deeply symbolic

We return from Egypt short trip and me and wife like to
to participate in the tradition of walking barefoot, a practice that is deeply symbolic. Walking barefoot on holy ground is a way of shedding our worldly concerns and connecting more intimately with the sacred.

Feeling the ancient stones beneath our feet, worn smooth by countless pilgrims over centuries, was a humbling experience. It served as a reminder of the enduring devotion of those who have walked these paths before us, leaving their own spiritual imprints on these hallowed grounds.

Jerusalem, with its rich tapestry of faith and history, has left an indelible mark on our hearts. Our family journey was not just a physical one but a spiritual one, drawing us closer to our own beliefs and to the enduring power of faith and ask for forgiveness.

That sounds humbling indeed. I think that it might also remind you that your spiritual journey as a Christian is the journey of a people rather than the journey of a lone individual.

The photos are good and I really like the icon as well as the candles on the steps.

Thank you for sharing all of that. :)

It is amazing how such a simple act can lead to such a deeply moving experience.

Thanks, so much, for sharing.
