Oprah for President?

She's a good friend of the Obama's and would likely prefer to go back to the previous eight years versus the train wreck we have now.

I think my dog right now would make a better president that the Groper-In-Chief, and he's been dead for 10 years.

Hell, we have a reality show host as president, so why not. She might have a hard time beating tom cruise if he decided fo run, though... The last time they met, things didn't go so well.

I'd support her, but I don't think she'll run. No point.

Now a self-made billionaire not known for screwing people over.
Not born with a silver spoon.
Acts like jesus, understands the constitution forbids religious law.
Smart, educated, successful.

What isn't to like? Some people will focus on gender/race and never support her. Regardless of her accomplishments blowing Trump out of the water.

I love Oprah. I'd vote for her; I'd campaign religiously for her if she ran. I had just heard a snippet of words on a TV (CNN, I think) as I was passing through the room, which seemed to indicate that she was seriously thinking about running. But when I asked, I was told that people merely want her to run, and hasn't indicated that she's seriously thinking about it.

I always like the idea of non politicians running but I don't know about her politics enough to say. As a Libertarian I would rather that party have a go at things. If the candidate was good.

I REALLY want her to run. Whether she would make the best President or not, I don't know. But I want her voice as part of turning the USA away from the dark path it's on now and back to a positive future where honesty counts, integrity is valued and America becomes a exemplar of the "New Order of the Ages".

Have her run for mayor or governor or Congress first. Get some political experience, show herself to be an effective trustworthy politician. Why do we think zero experience is a good thing for this job? When is that ever true? I want someone who knows what they’re doing, not some figure-head.

Good idea.

This is what happens when people begin to imagine anyone other than who we have.
To be fair, we’ve been heading down the road of celebrity politicians for a while: Reagan, Schwarzenegger, Franken, Ventura, Trump. They got money and name recognition which seems to matter more and more these days.

I think Trump has just showed them how easy it could be, lack of knowledge and experience be damned.

Personally, I don't pay much attention to candidates until primary seasons. But finding out about Oprah would probably be fun and easy. :)

I am too nonpartisan to even vote in primaries. In my state, you have to be registered in a Party to vote in it's primary. Registration with a Party seems too much like selling my soul to the devil. And all I get is to participate in the illusion that the Party gives a whit about my opinion.

No thanks.

But I could see Oprah making the better choice if the other option is Trump. She has all the credentials he had and much more. Who knows, he proved it can be done. And there's nothing I know about that I abhor about her, so that's an advantage.

I can say Oprah would run to try and make the country better. I don't think it would be a power thing for her. I would respect her as our first female president more than corrupt Hillary. I do think a lower seat run would be to her advantage. She's still young.

Maybe she could just buy New Hampshire or something? Or Atlanta?
