I retired.

But even that does not help much. They even kept me back for six months to sort their Problems out.

whatever the pressure you have to take time out.
Then reflect meditate and pray.
Then do something you have wanted to do for your self but did not have time for.

Then you can re-look at your situation with refreshed eyes and it is never as bad.

i pray, go for walks, sing in my head.

or, barring that, i take some time out to enjoy my current state of frustration. that works, too.

I knit constantly. I orginally started to soothe my PTSD and try to stop self-mulitilating and it really helped. Now whenever things are stressful and hetetic and overwhelming, which they almost always are now that I´m in a foreign country, I always have a ball of yarn and bamboo needles in my bag with me at all times.

I love to just sit and watch the TV here (usually CNN, it´s one of the only all English channels) and knit whenever I get the chance.

I walk and sing, and pray. If that fails, a dose of spring cleaning in the house never goes amiss, and I can wear myself out that way.:)

Knitting ? Never tried that to stop self mutilating - I've got a feeling it would not help me though; my dexterity is on a minus scale!:D

If people have done it for centuries, I´m sure you can do it too!

It´s nice to see more male knitters.

I'm so dispraxic, when I use a tennis racket to hit a ball for the dog to chase, more often than not, I end up hitting myself in the face! - once, I even busted a pair of glasses!:biglaugh:

The cake is a lie
I play video games, take a nap, sit outside and listen to nature, play with Leo or Pandora, just take a few deep breaths, read a book... depends on what I have with me and where I am when things get to me. If all else fails I'll just reenact various books I've read in my head or make up stories.
