I walk and sing, and pray. If that fails, a dose of spring cleaning in the house never goes amiss, and I can wear myself out that way.gracie said:i pray, go for walks, sing in my head.
or, barring that, i take some time out to enjoy my current state of frustration. that works, too.
Knitting ? Never tried that to stop self mutilating - I've got a feeling it would not help me though; my dexterity is on a minus scale!jamaesi said:I knit constantly. I orginally started to soothe my PTSD and try to stop self-mulitilating and it really helped. If people have done it for centuries, I´m sure you can do it too!Knitting ? Never tried that to stop self mutilating - I've got a feeling it would not help me though; my dexterity is on a minus scale!
I'm so dispraxic, when I use a tennis racket to hit a ball for the dog to chase, more often than not, I end up hitting myself in the face! - once, I even busted a pair of glasses!:biglaugh:jamaesi said:If people have done it for centuries, I´m sure you can do it too!
It´s nice to see more male knitters.
