You may or not remember Pam Bondi as the Attorney General of Florida who decided not to pursue charges against Trump University after a considerable donation to her political campaign.

Well, she is probably more qualified than Gaetz, but certainly no less corrupt.

We all know why America is failing.
Objectivism no longer matters, it's the days of subjectivism.
Feelings, not facts
Good points, but not complete, I think. There is more and more "tribalism" going on, for example. This is something that, if the human race can't get past, will condemn us to endless strife. Until we can identify as "human," and not white, black, brown, yellow; not Christian, Jain, atheist, Muslim or Baha'i; not straight, gay, bi, trans, asexual; nor any of the multitude of ways we divide "us" from "them;"

Then we are likely to be a failed species and one day go extinct -- probably because we'll nuke ourselves -- as so many distopian novels suggest -- out of existence.

Evolution is science, it works, it explains more than most of us can even begin to understand. But if we can't evolve to that next step, then our intelligence (i.e. our ability to create science that can destroy everything) will be our end -- because we won't know how not to use that science to actually do it!

If humanity is to survive, it will only be because of humans that can actually accept all other humans -- in all their diversity -- as "us." Then, we'd have a chance. Until then, consider us doomed.

(Edited to add: a bit tipsy when I've been writing this. Sorry. But I feel like I'm being honest.)

I think what will be interesting about all these MAGA exremists being picked for top jobs is how much they can really do within the workings of the departments they will run. The DOJ will have many lawyers working on existing cases that wll continue on from the Biden administration. Most of the staffers need these jobs. They have lives and mortgages, they aren't like all thes rich MAGAs who can blow into town and not worry about paying bills. But these workers know their mission and will have ethics. How will this clash with the zero ethics of leadership and the Trump administration?

If federal employees refuse to break laws and ethics, and get fired, it will be a lawsuit against the government. It will be judges who decide those cases. The Trump administration can't just fire people like they say, they need reasons to fire federal workers. Many have pensions, and could lose them if they are fired, or quit. So they are motivated to follow the rules and the law, because that is what wll protect them in the long run. Look how many people quit the Trump administration the first time, will he have any better luck getting qualified and loyal workers this time? If so it will take many months if not years to replace federal workers.

Trump can do a lot of damage but he needs a loyal government to do the damage he really wants, and I'm not sure he has enough federal workers to make it happen. I predict a massively inept and disorganized administration that has no idea what its doing.

I suspect a number of members of this forum would like for Trump to nominate someone they agree with and continue the policies that he disagrees with.
It is my opinion that the Justice Dept, along with numerous other departments within the federal governament, need a serious house cleaning;
let's hope his appointees do so. In addition that Trump along with the Congress agrees with the reccomendations of the DOGE committee and removes the deadweight (people and regulations) bloating the federal governement.

As a left leaning centrist I'd say that tribalism is coming from both ends of the politcal spectrum. The far left doesn't like to admit it, but it's become quite tribalistic, and that's one of the reasons Dems just got crushed.

She is a good pick. Even when Trump makes a bad decision he still comes out on top. We get a more qualified person nominated and we got to see who the rats are in the republican party.

She is a good pick.
She is a good pick for Trump and any corruption he commits. She certainly has a record of repeating Trump's lies and disinformation, so I doubt she is honorable and won't serve the American people.

That is the corruption that is inherent in MAGA and the right wing today.

But he has been lucky, and he duped 49% of voters to elect him. He is still liable for defamtion, and tax fraud. His criminal cases are essentially wiped away due to the voters who have no problem with a criminal president. I can't see his second term going well with his poor judgment and severe mental decline. Looking at his cabinet picks illustrates his mental weakness.

We know who the rats are already, it's anyone who supports the criminal president elect. There are a few ethical nd decent republicans and the USA looks to them as a line against Trump's worse impulses. They refused Gaetz, so that's a start. At some point Trump's series of bad picks will be accepted, and we will watch how they perform. I am confident Bondi will be as corrupt as Trump, and we will see what this costs America.

What I will watch for is if she settles Trump's $100 million lawsuit against the DOJ and let's him take that taxpayer money.

This rat, as you called me, is looking forward to these departments being purged of the corruption and injustice they have done to the american people under dem control. The targeting of american citizens and weaponization of the government is going to stop.

Which "corruption and injustice" in particular? Which citizens were "targeted," and in what way is the DOJ "weaponized?"
No, I am not.
Very little that you post suggests otherwise. You certainly support a criminal for President. And now for AG -- I mean, what a coincidence that the Florida investigation against Trump University suddenly went away after she received a $225,000 "donation" from -- you guessed it -- Donald J. Trump.

Like the last four years? No doubt.
Things have improved under Biden...except for abortion rights.
Particularly the stronger economy.
Doing better than the rest of the world.

Pam Bondi...another Fox News talking
head with a record of defending Trump.
No surprise.

Little to do with me as an outsider though I'm of the opinion that Americans would prefer people who know something about the job. Nothing more nothing less.
They don't really want people who are going to **** the country because arse licking their god increases their personal wealth

Trump told Hannity that he would become a dictator on day 1 and then a Christian group that when he's elected, they wouldn't have to vote again. IOW, all Trump wants is yes men/women-- period.

If Trump keeps his own words, we will become the "Fascist States of America" on January 5th.

Point out the corruption and injustice. Use reputable sources.

Give examples of this actually happening. Make sure there’s no legal grounds for what you are accusing the government of doing. Use reputable sources.

When Magas like what Trump says, they believe him.
When they dislike what he says, he's "only joking".

This American wants ethical standards applied to all government agencies and employees. Thus far Trump is prioritizing unethical candidates. How well will this work out in the future? The media will inform us. And I have no doubt that Trump’s administration will try to intimidate the press. That will be reported too.
