Paradise On Earth

Few religions speak of a paradise on earth. That God will prepare the way and restore the earth to His original intention that He set before Adam and Eve. Are there many people who desire an eternal life on this planet? Can this planet support life for humans past 120 years? Do animals share this earthly eternal life? What are the schematics for such an existence? Can an established kingdom match someone’s personal concept of paradise or are we going to have to follow another law with its own brand of restrictions? Can humans, if they so desire at least create their own slice of paradise today or do we need the help of a Supreme BEing?

I believe the gods desire us to create the best life for ourselves on earth. We don't need them to do it... sometimes we need them to remind us that we can do it ourselves. But only when we become courageous, hard, disciplined and purposeful will we ever have the strength to create a great society. As long as people are weak and frightened and fragile, the Mob or Masses will remain food for wolves with less than benevolent intentions.

Well, I am renowned for ' strange Ideas', so I guess I need not worry about coming out with another absurd one.

I believe heaven is actually here on Earth (in a different dimension), which is why, of course, people see 'ghosts' - that is a mere glitch in the dimensions; that is also why dogs and cats will sit and stare at apparently nothing............

Well, that's my absurd thought for the day, anyway..... So, I guess that answers a load of your questions, Cardero, and yes, according to me, we do need the help of God.

As far as needing God to create paradise, yes we do. Man has this terrible habit of destroying everything he touches. All in the name of bettering man kind. ​

I agree; but that is man with a tangible body such as the one we have...maybe in heaven, we need not eat, never feel cold, or too hot........well, if it is called 'heaven' it has to be good.:biglaugh:

Your strange idea is also what the LDS church teaches (that the "spirit world" in on the earth). Eventually we believe that the earth will become paradise.

Article of Faith 10 - "...that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory."

EDIT: I don't know if the spirit world being on earth is an "official" teaching, but I am certain that it is a belief that is held by many members and I have heard it taught in church and seminary classes. It's what I believe though.

That's interesting, although I gather from the way you have explained your belief, Earth will, at a later date, become heaven. Is there any validity in the thought that heaven already exists, but in a different dimention ?

The one is peopled by temporal tabernacles, and the other by spirits. A veil is drawn between the one sphere and the other, whereby all the objects in the spiritual sphere are rendered invisible to those in the temporal."

yes man does ruin everything ,that is because man was not created to rule himself independent of God, that is why God is going to get rid of manmade goverment once and for all and he is going to bring to ruin those ruining the earth Daniel 2;44 ............ revelation 11;18

Make or create your own Paradise. I am in favor of this. I don't want someone else creating a PARADISE for me. I will create a PARADISE for myself. I think we have INDIVIDUAL PARADISES that we create on earth. We make things as good as we can for ourselves on earth, with God's help.

There are too many people busy creating a HELL on earth for others. We should be busy helping others create a PARADISE for themselves, with the help of God. God is the only one that has our best interest at heart. WE MUST CREATE A PARADISE ON EARTH, with God's help, Individually and as a whole.

Excatly how did Smith and Pratt arrive at these revelationary insights, ah, they were delivered by an Angel ? and apart from what they said and wrote, you have anything else to back up these assertions. In fact what do any of the posters in this thread have in the way of anything other than fanciful notions ?
