Pat Robertson is dead

"Truth" isn't a thing...

I struggle to understand this logic.

Not directing this at you specifically, but people say they don't like to speak ill of the dead, yet take no issue speaking ill of the living. This is sad, no?
Yes, perhaps it is a bit of an oddity. But I consider it this way -- the living can at the very least defend themselves if I speak ill of them incorrectly.

Pat Robertson did and said a lot of things about my community (LGBTQ+) that I did not think very highly of. I hope that those who listened to him will now at least have the opportunity to reconsider what they took from his teaching.

श्री कृष्णा शरणं मम
He said harmful things, and did harmful things. Still, I wish his soul peace.

ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय ।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥

Oṁ asato mā sadgamaya
tamasomā jyotir gamaya
mrityormāamritam gamaya
Oṁ śhānti śhānti śhāntiḥ

Om,
Lead me from the unreal to the real,
Lead me from darkness to light,
Lead me from death to immortality.
May peace be, may peace be, may peace be.

I would hope that anyone who had a role in the harm he caused reconsiders their views now that he has passed. In my opinion, evangelical extremism has been one of the greatest sources of suffering in the 21st century.
I believe I have met many people who were saved by televangelism.
