Pat Robertson Supporters?

Quote from the Rev.

"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God. You just rejected him from your city."

This is of course in response to the good citizens of Dover rejecting Intelligent Design being taught in their science classes.

Anyone out there agree with Pat, or is he just a kook?

By the way, I am pretty sure that this is the same cat who said that feminism leads to witchcraft, baby murdering and lesbianism, and he also might be the same guy who said a hurricanes and tsunami's recently hit because God was angry at the locals.

Hi, I'm new to RF...

I am a Christian, yet I would have to argue that Pat Robertson talks too much. Granted I am disappointed about the ID decision, Pat has a horrible approach for proclaiming the Gospel. He alienates people from Christianity. Unfortunately this is the picture of Christianity that is painted on the minds of nonbelievers. I appreciate his passion, but it is mis-guided.

Peace,

I think Pat is off his rocker, way out there, ya know? Not that God does not, or will not judge mankind, it is that only he knows who, when, where, and why. God is love, therefore he is also just, so he will not just sit back and let people get away with doing evil to others or evil in general. There will be a judgement day, eh?

If God was angry with the people of the recent disasters, surely there is a bolt of lightening with Pat's name on it ready to strike him dead. (That's why I would not stand to close to him, just in case God misses )I have a mental image of God sitting on his throne, shaking his head saying "Pat, Pat, you have lost the plot. Time to call you home." :p

Hey MG.

Just came in to see if there was possibly somone around here who would defend Pat. Is he still backing Jerry Fallwell on his battle against the Teletubbies?

Ahh those insidious teletubbies. Turning my kids gay. How dare they? Yeah, as far as I know he is a Falwell supporter.

You know a funny thought just hit me. Most folks don't like terrorists (Islamofascists if you will) and most folks don't care much for the Falwell's and Pat Robertson's of the world, and yet these people still continue to exist. I wonder why that is?

In the case of the terrorists I have been under the impression that there are a lot of Muslims who like what they Islamofascists are doing, tho they are not participating themselves. I wonder if there are not a lot of Right Wing Christians who feel in a similar manner toward Falwell and Robertson, tho are reticent to join in their rhetoric?

Just a random thought from a free thinker.

They continue to exist because mislead or corrupt humans will continue to see religion as either an excuse for their actions, or as a microphone to spread a personal belief.
