Am I the only person here who finds the idea of this movie at least a little bit insulting? Portraying the Norsemen as evil barbarians who enslaved and massacred the caring, peaceloving natives is just a bunch of monkey turds. Never mind that the Vinland voyages were for settlement and not raiding. It's accurate to say that the vikings never really made it to North America then. The men who went on that voyage didn't bother to bring heavy armor and heaps of weapons (don't even get me started on the horned helmets). When they arrived, there were some fights here and there, but no big "viking massacres" or "raiding parties". This is just another case of PC attacking Whitey. Not to mention that the only way the natives can fight off the "evil vikings" is by having one of their kind among them.
The original Pathfinder was a fantastic Sami movie about foreigners attacking and destroying a young boy's village, but this remake is just insulting. You'd think that in this day and age we could avoid over-the-top stereotypical racist portrayals in big-name movies.
