Patience, Steadfastness, No Retaliation, Be Sympathetic, Be Righteous – The Promised Success is Sure

In this era, to spread the promised message of God, it is essential to exercise patience, steadfastness and not to use worldly methods of use of force. Excellence in righteousness and connection with God is required for the gain of promised success.

Peace be on you.. The opposition and oppression to communities of Prophets is not new. To incite common people and to ignite flames of hatred, bizarre things are attributed to Prophets and their followers, and told to common people by corrupt clergies and connected leaders. Allah the Exalted has clearly mentioned in Holy Quran that each Prophet is opposed and mocked. Satan makes effort to hinder their work. Thus, Jama'at Ahmadiyya is not facing a new thing.

Allah the Exalted says in Holy Quran: [ch6:from v113] "And in like manner have We made for every Prophet an enemy, evil ones from among men and Jinn. They suggest one to another gilded speech in order to deceive …….."

These words of Allah the Exalted are true today too.

Eman/beleif of a true and firm in Eman Ahmadi increases when they observe these oppositions……But there are very few such people too who say since oppression to Ahmadis has crossed the limits, now harshness should be answered with harshness, how long they shall bear difficulties…..Some of them try to poison minds of youth. They say that Jama'at should use worldly ways for demands and freedom.

Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) said these talks are due to ignorance and extremely wrong thoughts. Either these people have forgotten what is our basic teaching and what does Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) wants from us, what advice he gave to his Jama'at to bear these hardships and difficulties. Or these people with wrong thoughts want to create division in Jama'at by pretending as sympathizer. It could be one of the ploys used by opponents against the spreading Jama'at.

Allah the Exalted has made promise of Fatah / victory, Nusrat / support and progress with Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). No answer to harshness with harshness but by paying attention to affection, love and prayers. He (a.s.) has repeatedly explained to us that progress of Jama'at and downfall of opponent will be achieved by prayers. That is why, bow before Allah the Exalted by making your conditions according to teaching of Deen / religion and by producing Taqwa / righteousness in self.

The Promised Messiah (a.s.) was to come as prince of peace and came as so. He informed his followers from day one that his paths are not easy, these have many difficulties, here emotions will have to be suppressed, loss of life and wealth will have to be borne. By the grace of Allah the Exalted, members of Jama'at are offering all kinds of sacrifice in this path. They write to Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be Helper) that they are not afraid of attack by opponents, their Eman are getting stronger than before.

But if one or two people say something which is against the teaching of Jama'at that is equal to creating mischief and is like to give opportunity to opponents for more opposition against us, especially when such things are said at Whatsapp, Twitter, Facebook or by any other way.

We have been practicing the teaching not to practice oppression and barbarism in response to that by opponents. We shall not fight against governments with weapons. We contend by using the arms of prayers. Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) has taught us if we have to get help and love of Allah the Exalted, we shall not response to opponent’s attacks and excesses like it, but we have to use patience and prayer. Only then, we shall see successes. Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) says: (Farsi)“ azizan bekhluso sidq nakushayand rahera musaffa qatraey bayed keh ta gohar shawad payda …….i.e. O dears, the station is not obtained without sincerity and truth. Be clean and pure droplet, it is, from which, pearl is made. O my friends! who are in my Movement of Bai'at, may God enable us and you to do those things, with which, He is pleased. Today you are few and are seen scornfully and time of trial is on you, according to very way of Allah which continues since ancient. Effort will be made from every side that you get tripped and you will be troubled by all methods and you will have to hear various ill-talks. And everyone who will cause infliction to you by tongue or hand will think he is supporting Islam.” “And some heavenly trials will come to you so that you are examined by all ways. So you listen now that it is not the path of your victory and dominance that you exercise your dry logic or mock against mockery or call name against name calling because if you use these paths, your hearts will become hard, and you will have only verbosity, with which God the Exalted hates and views it with sight of disgust. So you do not do that (you) gather two curses at you; one of Creation and second of God.”

Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (a.t.) said to Community that We have to practice this teaching and guidance given to us by Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.). We shall neither reply name calling with name calling, nor reply discord by creating discord by breaking law. It is often seen in countries (which call themselves Islamic) that even if we lawfully do our defense, the law stands with oppressor. Bail of oppressed Ahmadis is not granted, courts are helpless before corrupt clergies; they sent message to court, if bail is granted then you’ll see what will happen to you! Then due to fear, many judges give next hearing date, and do not make decision. Thus, neither law enforcing institutions are ready to help us nor the law is ready to grant us justice.

To make discord in country in not our teaching. Thus, there is only way that hold the door of Allah the Exalted and offer prayers to maximum……Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) says: “In the time, between prayer and era of its acceptance, too often, trials upon trials come. And such trials come too which break the back. But a steadfast and good-natured person smells perfume of grants of his Lord during these trials and difficulties. And sees with the sight of wisdom that Nusrat comes after this. In coming of these trials, a secret is this too, that excitement for prayer increases. Because as much as iztirar (pressing necessity) and iztirab t(emotional agitation) will increase, by that much gudazish (softness, melting) will continue to happen in soul. And these are among the means of acceptance of prayer.”

As much the heart of human will melt and he cries, when it is the state, it is produced by Allah the Exalted Himself for the acceptance of prayer.

“Thus one should never worry, and by impatience and restlessness one should not have bad-thought about his Allah.”

Thus, it is our responsibility. Surely, the promises made by Allah the Exalted with Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) are true. And surely Allah the Exalted listens to prayers.

Each of us should make self-review. Have I achieved those levels of prayers which Allah the Exalted wants from us? Have we, instead of keeping eyes on worldly mean, taken our souls to that level of melting where acceptance of prayer takes place. Only Allah the Exalted knows these levels, our effort cannot know. No one can say that yes we have achieved these levels, and even then nothing is obtained, prayer is not answered. Only Allah the Exalted knows the required level. Our duty is to keep connection with Allah the Exalted with patience and prayer.

If anyone of us will show impatience, he will make his own loss. Those who are facing hardship, majority of them is showing patience and do prayers and are strong in Eman too. And those who are sitting at distances, and are safe from apparent hardships, mostly they make lose-talks. If they have sympathy with their brethren, what they should do is to have connection with Allah the Exalted.

Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said: “If some one calls name, our complaint is in the Presence of God, not in any other court. And despite all this, sympathy to humankind is our right.”

Even if we are name called, we have to show sympathy. Thus, if any of us is directly passing through the phase of hardship or not, they have to hold to patience and prayer. And it is the sign of Eman.

Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) explains it is not easy to walk with him: “Thus if someone does not want to walk on my feet (i.e. to follow) then should get separated from me. What do I know that yet which terrible jungle and thorny wilderness have to be faced, which I have to cross. So those who have delicate feet, why do they bear trouble with me. Those who are mine, they cannot be separated from me, neither by trouble nor due to blasphemy and insult by people, nor by heavenly trials and tests. And those who are not mine, they vainly claim for friendship because soon they shall be separated and their next condition would be worst than previous. Can we be afraid of violent shakings? Can we become terrified, by trials in the path of God the Exalted? Can we get separated, by any trial by our beloved God? Never can be, but only by His Fazl / grace and Rehmat / mercy. But those who are to get separated, they may get separated. To them, Salam of farewell! But remember, after having suspicion and cutting-connection, if they will bow again at sometime, then there will be not be honour of this bowing near Allah -- the honour, which loyal people get. Because, stain of having suspicion and treason is a very big stain.”

Level of a Momin’s Taqwa is very high and despite troubles by opponents they face all types of evil and do not care about troubles. Despite inflictions from others, they are ready to forgive them and do not spread discord. Rather they keep being ambassadors of peace. In this regard Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) says: “Surely remember, no evil exists in the heart of Momin Muttaqi (believer righteous). As much Momin keep becoming Muttaqi, that much he does not like punishment and hurt for anyone. Muslim can never be malicious. Yes, other peoples are such malicious that others’ words of rancor never leave their hearts and they always keep making effort to take revenge. We see, what our opponents have done to us. All miseries, all troubles, which they could have inflicted they did. But we are still ready to forgive their thousands of faults. Thus you, who have relation with me, remember, be sympathetic to every person regardless which religion he belongs to. And without distinction of religion and nation, be virtuous to everyone.”

Deformity is taking place in others as they are guide-less, and they are distancing from Taqwa. But we the Ahmadi Muslims, whom Allah the Exalted has granted the guide in the person of Hazrat Promised Messiah a.s. [-The Promised Servant of Holy Prophet s.a.w.)], our each act should be according to Islamic teaching. And each of our things should be based on Taqwa. We should always avoid temporary and ephemeral excitements. We should examine how much Taqwa we carry.

What is Taqwa and what is the sign of real Taqwa, and what kind of impression should be made by a virtuous and righteous person. In this regard, Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) says: “Ignorance cannot gather with real Taqwa. Real Taqwa has a Nur / light with it as Allah (great is His Grandeur) says: ‘ya aiyohallazina aamanu in-tattaqullaha yajallakum furqanan wa yokaffir ankum sai-yeatekum wa yajallakum nuran tamshuna behi ……’ [8:from 30] - O ye who believe! if you remain steadfast at being righteous, and adopt stability and firmness in the quality of being most righteous for Allah the Exalted then He will put difference between you and other than you. That difference is that you will granted a Light. With that Light you will walk in all your paths, i.e. that Light will come in your all acts, words, strengths and senses. In your wisdom too, there will be a Light. In you’re a-word-of-estimate too there will be a Light. In your eyes, too there will be Light. In your ears, your tongues, your statements, and in your each movement and rest, there will be a Light. And the paths, you will walk at , they shall become luminous. In short, as much there are your ways, channels of your powers and channels of your senses, all of them will be filled with Light. And you will walk in entire Light.”

Thus, if in our matters, there is only excitement, like others, then it is not Taqwa. If our deeds are not according to Islamic teaching, then it is not Taqwa. If, in our words and deeds, there is no expression of Light of Allah the Exalted then we should be worry about our Taqwa. If, in unfavorable conditions, we are not practicing the advice and guidance given by Imam of era, we shall go away from that Light which shall be given by Allah the Exalted due to this obedience.

Thus first we need to make self-review. If levels of our Taqwa have become so high, at where we see Light of Allah the Exalted and our prayers are touching those limits of softness / melting which are needed for a right doer of prayer, which Allah the Exalted wants, then we should be sure that Help and Nusrat of Allah the Exalted is near. And Allah the Exalted will make countries for us, and smoothen the lands for us. InshaAllah. If we want or shall want to get these by other ways, then nothing will be gained. In front of us, there are examples of the organizations, which want to establish Islamic governments on the name of Islam and with unlimited means, by spending millions and billions of dollars and pounds. But they gained nothing except discord, oppression and barbarism. If occupation took place temporarily that too slipped from hands. They are called bringer of bad name to Islam, they are causing disrepute to Islam. No one call them servants of Islam.

Now service and transmission of Islam is destined through Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) and his Jama'at. And it is only possible if we walk on the foot print of this envoy sent by Allah the Exalted. Otherwise, as much effort we may do in terms of worldliness, neither we have power nor means to make gain. But if we develop Taqwa, and fear of Allah the Exalted, and elevate our prayers to maximum, then as Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) has said with reference to Holy Quran that we shall be granted that Light and powers which cannot be contended by any power regardless of its greatness.


And Allah the Exalted has this command too: “inna akramakum indallahey atqakum” [49:from 14 - …..Verily, the most honourable among you, in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you…….]

Allah the Exalted does not say wrong. He calls the righteous as honorable. He does not leave them humiliated before earthly people. It is correct that Prophets and their Communities have to face opposition by worldly people as Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) explained by himself. But did opponent not fail and lost at each occasion? Did not Jama'at spread and flourished when anyone stood to hinder the progress of Jama'at or obstacles were put. Opponents tried internal tactics and external attacks but Jama'at today has entered in 209 countries by treading on the highways of progress. If they are suppressed at one place, then Allah the Exalted grants means and opportunities, more than before, to spread at 10 other places. Allah the Exalted says He does not leave a common person who excels in Taqwa without giving honour. Then the person whom Allah the Exalted Himself has sent and we are seeing His supports with that person since last 125 years, will Allah the Exalted leave his Jama'at without fulfilling other promises and giving honour. Never. But as Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) said that all this will be obtained with perseverance and steadfastness, it is condition. If we shall continue to hold connection with Allah the Exalted, we shall see opponents disappearing.

Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) says: “If your life and death, and each of your movement, and your softness and heat ( i.e. cheerfulness and anger) will become only for God the Exalted. You will not test God the Exalted at each bitterness and difficulty, and will not break connection, but move the step ahead, then I tell truly that you will become a special people of God. You too are human as I am human and that same God of mine is your God. Thus do not waste your pure powers. If you will bow fully towards God then look I tell you according to Will of God that you will become an exalted nation of God. Place grandeur of God in your hearts and confess His Tauheed not only with tongue but with practice so that God too may reveal His kindness and favour for you.”

Thus each of us need to make changes in our conditions. Those who are weak should make self-review. Those who think they are better, they should too find more paths to get increase in virtues as only Allah the Exalted knows who is better and how much aims we have obtained. Allah the Exalted does not want to see us stayed at one point. No one should think I have become better and progressing in virtues and have gained virtues! We need to heighten our levels. Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) says: “God said by addressing me that I should inform my Jama'at that the people who believed; such Eman/belief that earthly mixture is not with it, and that Eman is not contaminated with hypocrisy or cowardice, and that Eman is not deprived of any station of obedience. Such people are God’s favorite people. And God says these are the ones whose step is step of Sidq/sincerity.”

Thus we need to walk on this step of Sidq so that we may see the scenes of those victories which are associated with Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace), which are destined for him by Allah the Exalted.

This duration of trial surely is bound to end, but for speed, we need to increase level of our Taqwa and continue to do so.

Surely, in this era, Allah the Exalted has made this Jama'at so that Islam is famed and advanced in the world, and gain superiority over all religions.

Allah the Exalted has made this promise with Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) that this Jama'at have to grow, to bud and blossom and no worldly power can finish it. He (a.s.) says: “Do not think this, that God will waste you. You are a seed from the Hand of God, which is sewn in the soil. God says that this seed will bring fruit and flourish and its branches shall come out from every side and will become a large tree.”

Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) prayed that May Allah the Exalted cause that everyone from us become fruitful and flourished branch of this tree. May we fulfill the expectation of Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) which he has from his Jama'at. May we progress in Taqwa, and continue to make each attack of opponents failed and disappointed, with the patience and the prayer. [Aameen]

== A Janaza Salaat in absentia was announced of Mr. Malik Khalid Jawaid who expired of heart attack while he was among others inside the Ahmadiyya mosque which was recently attacked by a planned mob in Dulmial. His repeated last words before he became unconscious, were that he could not bear such foul and unclean language (by mob) against Hazrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). Due to huge mob outside, he could not be taken for medical care…. He obeyed and loved Khilafat. He was regular in offering five daily Salaats and Tahajjud, and would recite Holy Quran with loud voice. He served mosque and Jama'at and loved Holy Quran. …. May Allah the Exalted elevate his stations and continue his virtues in his progeny. [Aameen]
