Pelosi Commits an Act of Hypocrisy, Trump Commits a Felony -- America Focuses on Pelosi

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I don't think taking off her mask when useful for hair service
is the problem here. I see 2....
- Getting salon access that isn't legal for the masses.
- Blaming the owner, subjecting her to threats of violence.
Thats the thing. The intolerable left resorts to threatening a salon owner over this. They threaten anyone who doesn't share the same views. Its where cancel culture was born.

Is Pelosi now being treated the same way as that salon owner?

Yes, and that is a felony as well as voting more than once.

OTOH, to defend Trump, we have to remember that laws and the Constitution don't apply to him. :emojconfused:

Well duh...
He has already explained unambiguously that the POTUS has absolute power.
Have you got a problem with that ?

Completely out of context as has been shown (he didn't), plus, technically, telling people to do anything is not a felony. Nice try...
Just curious...when Trump is on TV, do you do a full-blown bow, or is a mere genuflect enough?

Even so, felony or not, there's plenty of focus upon Trump,
far more so than on Pelosi, who only rates one new thread.
It seems there's much objection to addressing what Pelosi did.
One day, I'd like to hear your actual feelings and thoughts on the matter. You're pretty good at keeping those under wrap.

I'm not going into detail about what Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Trump did within just this past few days because precisely what they did is not the topic of this thread. The topic of this thread is why is Ms. Pelosi getting all the attention when Mr. Trump seems to have committed the greater transgression? Is it because American's are far more scandalized by what someone who does not routinely flaunt the rules does than they are by someone who daily flaunts the rules?

Whatever the case, this is a sign we're screwed.

Yeah, no... There was nothing about voting twice. He said check if your vote was counted, if not vote. But, facts obviously don't matter.

So, that just leaves Skeletor and her hypocrisy.

Encouraging voters to try to vote twice.

Yeah, that isn't true, but... repeat it again....

I swear reading comprehension has seriously fallen off these days.

I have fewer & milder feelings about politicians than
do you neurotypical folk. Pelosi's hair faux pas doesn't
bother me at all. But I do have criticism for her exposing
the salon owner to leftish threats of violence.

I'm too old to get excited over such things. But when
feral kittens come to visit...that is worth jump'n out of
my leather chair.

The owner denies Pelosi's claims.
A stylist contractor (who rents a chair from the
owner) appears to have handled the service.

I'll have to read up. So was the owner involved at all? Or did the stylist open the shop? Whether the stylist or the owner consented to doing the shampoo and cut, shouldn't they be the ones on the carpet?
And having agreed to do so, and posting video, why should they have a beef if they get harrassed?

Better to search the news than depend upon my recollection.
But that's what I read.

The owner released the surveillance video to the media, they lied to her and told her state law permitted one client to be treated inside at a time, and by the way Pelosi was socially distanced when she was pictured without the mask, and no one is claiming she wasn't wearing a mask when she sat in the chair.

It sure does seem like some kind of set up, and Pelosi never broke any law, the salon did.

What? Me worry?

It must really gall you to watch this idiot, this buffoon, this moron on TV presiding over the United States knowing there's not a damn thing you can do about it. It must be just as painful knowing that the Democrats are asking you to choose an even bigger idiot, buffoon, and moron as your presidential choice. It must also keep you up at night knowing deep down, that you're probably looking at another four years of Trump. Sucks to be you...my life is good.

Ya know....this is what's so odd. They hate Trump with such fervor
(with some justification). But who did they pick in the primaries to
run against Trump? Joe Biden....the guy with sexual assault
allegations dogging him....brain farts on full display....& the oldest
ever sitting President-to-be. He could be called "Trump Lite".

They had better choices. So if you're genuflecting for Trump, then
using the religious metaphor, they're preaching fire & damnation
that would put Elmer Gantry to shame.

In times of extreme polarization, people tend
to infer that which reinforces partisan views.

All partisans are idiots by definition, but I digress.

If anyone thinks that they're anything more than an election year booty-call for these guys need their heads checked. They've all repeatedly said whatever and did nothing, lol.

I don't think they're idiots at all.
But partisan bias can get the best
of otherwise rational people.

I actually thought about the "Trump lite" description recently. Like the Elmer Gantry reference, BTW...

Then you would have to admit Pelosi ingored the law for herself or was just plain ignorant.
