Perfect Bible?

the fact that it had most Christian denomiations approve of it translation appeals to me as well.
You've been misled about that. Nobody outside the Evangelical movement considers it a good translation, and when it comes to the TNIV, even the more conservative Evangelicals don't like it.

I am blood related to Joseph Smith's brother Hyrum.
If you're a blood relative of Hyrum, aren't you a blood relative of Joseph, too?

I can assure you these men are not fakes. My wife has seen Hyrum. He appeared to her in the spirit. These are true men of God. To speak against them would be a dire mistake.
Well! Nobody could ask for better proof than that. Although you don't mention what Hyrum said to your wife; any chance it was something about curbing her husband's enthusiasm? :)

There is no infallible version of the Bible today. The original maunscripts were, but they are now lost. That said, we still can establish what the original manuscripts said to a high degree of certainty.

You'd have to define what you mean by "infallible." Do you mean that the original manuscripts reflected exactly what the authors intended them to reflect? I'd tend to agree with you. but those reflections are still flawed, human reflections of Divine truth -- not the Divine truth, itself.

I have an older version (1985) and agree that NIV has strayed away from the truth. Never-the-less, I find the language helpful for the first timer, so to speak.

I suppose, I just mean that part of my blood line goes through Hyrum, through Joseph Smith's parents, not Joseph Smith. I'll post my geneology in a few days, if I remember to grab it next time I'm home.

He just smiled, that's all. He was very excited, she said, and she saw Joseph Smith at Hyrum Smith's side, and said he was much more serous than Hyrum.

I guess she needed that experience to strengthen her testimony.

"When the holy spirit comes He will help you to remember what soever I have taught you. (paraphrase)
Do not search for the perfect Bible. Search your heart as a faith child of God, believe what Christ has taught and then DO those things. Remember the greatest commandment. Thou shalt love the Lord with all thine heart and with all thine soul, and with all of thine mind. And YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF. These are things that you must DO. The obedient child becomes the fulfillment of God's word through his or her obedience, not through knowing or reading or remembering scripture.
In these two commandments is fulfilled ALL of the Law of God. The mercy of Christ is love. Do as Christ does and you will please Him and the Father. "He that loves me keeps my commandments". The Bible has no life if you do not live it's words. If you obey God then you become the life that is in the word, for the Word is fulfilled and made alive in you because it is for YOUR sake that it was sent by the Father. Jesus was the Word alive. He shared it with us. If we obey and act in obedience we fulfill the word of God.
