3 dogs, 10 cats. Fish(I'm not going to name them all.) Husband keeps a few snakes. Houseflies, but they're not intentional pets.

1 very ancient dog, who shows less wisdom than he should at this point of life.

We generally keep 2 dogs, so they can buddy up, but the old fella would just teach a new one all sorts of bad habits, and he likes his own company at this point.
He'll curl up with me at the end of the day.

How many critters are in your guardianship?

I have 8 cats.

3 dogs.

1 pony

1 burro.

All rescues
I was going to reply by saying "two cats" but then the new house we've just bought seems to have come with a fish pond, containing both koi and goldfish.

Don't forget to post pictures of that pond!

We had a fish pond at our old place. It was pretty.

Then I'd have to wade through it to get to the rest of the garden!

Swimming is good exercise. :)

We have a fountain with a little pond around it in the front yard... not real big, either. One of the kids keeps tipping it for ****s and giggles, though, so we've given up for now.

Now you've reminded there's some goddam water feature lurking in the front garden. That's definitely getting canned.

None anymore. Over the years I’ve had a Who’s Who houseful of critters. Most were rescues or rehomes. My last two, Ziva and Tyson, were chosen. I’ve had cats, dogs, birds, ferrets. Just recently my little girl Ziva, my 13 year old Shih Tzu left us. She was getting sicker no matter what we did, and I’m still trying to process this. The year before her brother Tyson left us. I love dogs, and I know so many need homes but I don’t know if I am up to having another dog. I’m not ready to let go of Ziva, especially not when I hold and cuddle her HuggiePup toy dog the way I did with her. It’s about the same size, color and fur texture as her. It honestly makes me feel like I’m holding her. So yeah, I’m kind of going off the rails … nope not ready.
