Plans for Holy Week?

So, what have all we Christians got planned for Holy Week?

Generally interested to know how you all celebrate the coming days, or if you celebrate them at all in fact.

Personally, I'll be trying to meditate upon the verses which correspond to the coming days, etc. nothing fancy.

On Good Friday, my family and I refrain from eating meat or anything tasty in general in remembrance of the solemn occasion. (A leftover of my family's Orthodox history I believe, despite them now being Protestants.)

I then like to watch Passion of the Christ to really get me into the sombre mood.

Might attend a service too, not sure.

Not much happens on the Saturday, and then on the Sunday I'll be attending church for Easter celebration. Things are happy happy joy joy as I tuck into some roast lamb and eat chocolate eggs. If I was a good boy I'd also be reaching the end of Lent, but I haven't given up anything this year and generally don't anymore, but I'd like to pick it up again.

That's about it for me, I'm interested to know all the fancy things other members might be doing though! :D

I do very little to mark Easter except Join a march of witness behind the cross through the town.
I am thinking of joining the sunrise communion and breakfast, in the garden of the vicarage... but it means waking up at 4.00 in the morning, but the views over Saddleworth valleys are stunning.

Read the appointed readings for each time of the day (Vespers, Matins, Sixth Hour, etc.), and when I can't get to church, I plan on reading the Katavasia, Exapostilarion, Troparion, Kondakion and other propers of the day. Ideally I'd also listen to some of the musical settings for those, too. The texts alone hit you right in the feels, but the music blows you away.

Great and Holy Friday, I might try and get to church (even though I know it's going to be 100% Romanian at the parish I attend here in Salzburg), or do the above. Saturday (and maybe Friday too, depending) will be devoted to making food for the Paschal celebration, which starts at 9 PM and goes to midnight.

We just commemorated the memorial of Jesus death. The anniversary of his death fell on 14th this month so we held a memorial for him.

Luke 22:19 "...keep doing this in remembrance of me"

Attending service all week, at noon. Tonight is a pot-luck dinner, but it seems this has been a "thing" and I'm new to the church, so I will refrain. Tomorrow is the washing of the feet. I'll attend, but not get my feet washed. Friday is meditation, and Saturday is evening mass. Sunday is morning service, and then afternoon service.

I didn't think about watching the Passion of the Christ. I'm not a huge fan of the movie, but it does seem to work. I will probably do that.

Awesome, do you have a link for these appointed readings? I'd like to check them out for myself.

Sure! Here's the link to the Lenten Triodion, which has a lot (IDK if it's all for sure) of the liturgical propers--that is, the extra changeable hymns we sing. Just click the day you're on, and it'll take you to the hymns:

The Lenten Triodion

And, it took me a bit to find it, but if you go to the link Lenten Lectionary for Holy Week on this page, you'll have all the readings for all the days of Holy Week:
Russian Orthodox-Christian services from: Horologion,Trebnic,Menaion: full texts, excerpts, cards
