56% increase in the maternal mortality rate in Texas between 2019 and 2022

And now Texas won't even investigate the maternal deaths or review the cases from 2022 and 2023

Just sweep it under the rug. This is just disgraceful!

They are choosing to just sweep it under the rug. This is tragic and disgraceful.

It really does make me want to cry, and I've often been told that I'm one tough cookie. Is there any hope that pregnancy won't rapidly become third-world dangerous in Texas?

While it is sad, it is also that women in Texas could (should) have known. It was predicted that it would happen, and since Texas still allows women to vote, it is a self-made problem. You asked for it, you got it.

Hmm, it is a conundrum. What could possibly have caused such a huge jump in female mortality rate? Oh well, it does not matter. They are just women, and already attached. Right guys?

{I hope no one takes that seriously}
