I don't think so but I take my inspiration from the Bible which states that Jesus was the only one born with an immortal soul.

What does your particular religion teach? Soul Immortal or no?

No. The bible clearly teaches that the soul is not immortal. Your soul dies when you die. It is then resurrected upon judgement day, and after final judgement you have either attained eternal life (which essentially constitutes an immortal soul), or a second death. But an immortal soul is definitely something we are not born with.

The soul or Atma according to vedic terminology is eternal! The body which is made of sapta dhatus merges into the five elements of the nature after death. The energy that is soul takes another form based on the karma stock in simpler terms!

I feel everything changes, without exception, meaning the conventional idea of immortality is impossible. The Weave as a whole is immortal, but the parts within are always transforming and changing; blending and shifting into one another.

I believe there is no such thing as a Soul. Nor is there an afterlife. However, that does not make life any less incredible. Life is like a candle burning in the wind.

More like a single, universal Oversoul exists and snippets are occasionally pinched off.
Like a carafe of salad dressing, the minute oil droplets will eventually coalesce and unite into a single layer of pure oil.

Unless you happen to be one of the starving children in Africa, or the toddler who was recently shot to death in his stroller in Brunswick GA. Life didn't turn out to be so "incredible" for these poor souls! :(

We are an imperfect species. Many have yet to overcome instinctual biological behaviors. Sad really we have the capability to feed the world if we worked together. But for various reasons we cannot. We are all still just a bunch of animals.

The soul is immortal through the grace of God, but not in and of its own nature. So yes, we are born with an "immortal" soul.
