Some say that love is stronger than hatred

I'm not sure that it is although I wish it was

I think it is easier for a person motivated by hatred to do lots of damage than it is for a person motivated by love to do lots of good

But maybe I'm just pessimistic....

Because of this I am therefore going to vote "Hatred"

I think love is stronger, as it can pull someone out of their pit of hatred and make them completely change their lives. But when all someone knows is hatred, it's harder for them to feel love and therefore to be affected by its power. Hatred can cause one to be destructive, but it's not a power, it doesn't change a person who is already full of love, it just keeps people who are already full of hate right where they are, digging a deeper and deeper hole for themselves.

you may be right in the short term, but hate has a tendancy to be self destructive which love doesn't share. So perhaps love is stronger because it's more sustainable.

Seems to me it's hatred. Love is good, but just a brief moment of hate can undo many moments of love.

I've known many who had self-destructive loves. Seems fairly common to me.

That's an important point.

I guess they are 2 sides of the the coin, each with their strengths and weaknesses.

Funny I was thinking of opening a similar poll. Well I don't think in terms of good/evil love/hatred etc because I think that kind of thinking is invented to enslave people. You love yourself and those close to you and you hate your enemies. If you are too "loving" it will make you weak. It just won't work especially if you are masculine.

I know most people talking about love are also hateful. They are just hypocrites.

I think love is stronger, because:

...love builds up.
1 Cor. 8:1

"He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love."
1 John 4:8

Without it, we would only have death. Hatred can't support anything, it gives nothing but destruction.
