Of course, relating to females, and with regards to Iran and Afghanistan, apart from many other countries too. And seemingly, mostly about Muslims and where there might be rules/laws enforcing any particular dress code.

* Poll option: In general, that is, if it doesn't apparently cause offence to others - like how it is legal to be nude in the UK as long as such doesn't cause offence, or sufficient people don't complain over this. But they often do. And is this sufficient reason for religious dress to be enforced - that some are offended?

What are your views on this?

I believe women should be left alone with regards how they dress. Women being killed over dress is a war crime and severe oppression. Those committing these atrocities themselves deserve to be convicted and sentenced for life. It’s pure madness and pure fanaticism which the people outrightly reject.

How is it a war crime?

Well, I understand it differently than you apparently.
You understand everything differently..

The English word civilization comes from the 16th-century French civilisé ("civilized"), from Latin civilis ("civil"), related to civis ("citizen") and civitas ("city"). The fundamental treatise is Norbert Elias's The Civilizing Process (1939), which traces social mores from medieval courtly society to the Early Modern period.
Civilization - Wikipedia

"social mores" reflect the morality of the society.
Yes, we all know that many people in "the west" no longer consider Christian faith to be relevant etc.
They seem to be intent on going back to the early middle-ages. :(

How to dress is generally up to the individual, but the wise individual takes note of, and sometimes follows, local customs. These can include things as simple as knowing what "business casual" really means, which does not include jeans and T-shirts, for those who don't know. (For the record, the best definition I know of business casual is "pants with a crease, shirt with a collar, tucked in, shoes with a shine.")

If I enter a mosque or temple that wants no shoes, I remove my shoes. If I attend a Jewish wedding, I will don a white kippah out of respect.

As I am long past young and shapely, I keep the flabby bits covered. For my own dignity and to avoid your discomfort.

Well, I am not doing that. I am connecting the past differently than you.

Yeah and in a multi-cultural society that can be more difficult.

It should be like Switzerland or France.

I've yet to vote -- in part because the poll is comical and in part because I'm still trying to determine if the title is intended to be offensive or is simply a failed attempt to be clever.

(Full disclosure: I wore a not-so-stylish kippah last night at a really good concert.)
Both.

In early middle age Europe Christianity was the only religion, Catholic churches were the only places of worship. Christian leaders sat on the kings council.

Technical fields like medicine, biology, anthropology, psychology, physics, engineering, &c, adopt specifically defined, technical terms, to facilitate intra-specialty communication and understanding, and minimize interpretive differences. These do not necessarily reflect the historical etymology of the terms.

What do you not understand about the word "civilised" ?
So, you believe it is right to impose your beliefs as to 'civilisation' on to others? One can see why so many might not see Islam as being right for them if you truly reflect the views of most Muslims.

Like in France and Switerland, even clothing is offensive. So must oppress women who wish to wear some thing different.
I think that is about something else. You are more likely to see naked individuals in these two countries, so possibly more liberal than any Islamic one.

Oh true true. But I am not that in need of seeing naked ladies out in the open so it's not really relevant to me. If it is to you, all power to you. I have different principles and needs.

I am only commenting to someone else that governments must oppress a part of the womenkind who wish to be a little different like in Switzerland and France. It's a great thing. Must take their rights away.
