Oboe
(however I have not actually played in in a long while as life gets too busy - I do keep meaning to go back to it)

Let's go racing boys !
The only picture I could post would be that of my radio since that is the only musical thing I can play.........However I am a fairly good vocalist...........My late husband was excellent on the piano and my son plays piano, bass guitar and rhythm guitar.

Gentoo

The Feisty Penguin
I play bass... but I haven't in several years..

I just got a set of pan pipes, and I'm learning how to play those.

Absorbant
Piano, but I'm out of practice. Usually, if there is one in the room, I go over and play it. I miss piano!

Takamine acoustic electric. Had some really pricey guitars in the past, but now left with a machine produced one...oh well. Guitar I'd love to own someday is a Lowden, hand produced in Eire, but I think they may have changed the branding recently (well say over the last 10 years), will have to look for an original.

This is my humble basement music studio.

My Stratocaster,
A Roland keyboard I rarely use anymore,
The Casio Digital piano I teach on mostly
(and bring out to gigs cause it's so light),
and my Kurzweil pc88-- mostly for recording
(cause it's so heavy)

This is my Kurzweil PC88.
(and my kids finger prints on the computer screen)

I also have a Lexicon music interface,
and use that with CuBase software to record multitrack.

not pictured--my Yamaha DGX-305.
(it has it's purposes--mostly drum pads right now. lol)

Ok. One last pic from the other side of the room. :)

Oh! There's the Lexicon on the shelf under the phone.

I can hardly believe these uploaded.
What a great thread!
Thanks Darkendless!

And yes! Your guitar is beautiful.:rainbow1:

Weighted?

Every keyboard I own except the Yamaha (not pictured)
has weighted touch sensitive keys.
I really don't like playing on fluffy keys much.
(even when they are touch sensitive)
I need the weighted action to "dig into"
the playing experience properly.:rainbow1:

Give me a good digital piano and I'm happy.
(a variety of really great sounds is great too.
that would be the Kurzweil.)

Now,
Can anyone suggest a programmable drum machine
with a large variety of GOOD preset beats
that I can take on gigs with me?

It would appear that Charity, Father Heathen and myself should form a band of our own.

We could call ourselves "The No Talent Trio".

In all honesty, if there were one thing I wish I could do (other than fly), it would be to have the ability to create art or music.

I love them both, but have absolutely no gifts in either discipline.

Dear Lord, I have but one prayer. Please stike me dead before subjecting me to the sight of having to watch Scuba Pete play the nose flute.
On bended knees, and quivering in fear ...

Amen.

What kind of stuff do you play? Classical? Jazz?

I majored in Jazz with a keyboard emphasis.
But I have background in most styles to one extent or another.
From a Classic Rock band to Solo Classical pieces.
(and was a contemporary church pianist for 10 years)

The above link SHOULD take you to my last improvised multitrack recording.
That project was actually my own personal "recording tutorial" for Cubase.
I learned to use the software while I recorded and put it together.

Now I'm doing something completely different though.
I'm playing/singing my own classy and unique renditions
of cover tunes from all different genres.
(and working in as much improvisation as possible)

A girl's just gotta have fun-- and make money.
So for now anyway, I am the "cover queen". lol

Unless you're tone deaf, you have an ability. The ability to enjoy music requires the same ear as the ability to produce it; all that is required is a bit of work. I play pretty poorly but have written and produced some fairly accomplished stuff.
