As long as s/he's not a Democrat.. I'd LOVE to see a Libertarian in there. We're already herding cats. With a Libertarian, we'd be herding cats with wings. REally entertaining.

I'm much more of a social libertarian. Economics is a different matter

Even I concede that we could use a new party.

Yep. I know that most people's impression of me and what I post in here would be 'she's a Republican.' But I'm not. I'm a libertarian leaning right. A lot right...

Call me more of an 'anti-Democrat.' I'm not too enamored of the REpublicans either, but they do seem to be the only game in town as far as electability goes. Problem is, the Dems are correct on a couple of important things (only one or two, mind you, but they ARE important) and the Republicans are correct on more things (not 100%...or even 60%), and the LIbertarians are wrong on everything, most of 'em, Except when they are right, Then they are me.

Love to see a new, different party that could actually win something.

It is at this point, that I'd cheerfully vote for that Alien in the movie July Fourth. ;)

But it hit me the other day: There are no actual aliens in Area 51. None. Nada. Negatory.

Why?

Because it's clear that D Rump cannot keep his yap shut. He'd have spilled the secrets months ago...

And I'm kinda bummed, a bit.. I really wanted there to be secret Aliens and anti-gravity flying saucers....

*sigh*

Another dream from my childhood, banished in a puff of old dust....

... along with Flying Cars, hand Phaser weapons, atomic powered cars, and telepathy.

Captain Kirk for President, I say! Shatner's still alive, right? Let him reprise his best role, of Captain Kirk for POTUS.

You'll have to start your own party. Who says there can only be two parties in the USA?

I'm voting for the Congressman representing the Black Lagoon.
His slogan, "Fill the swamp", is pro-environment.

Nobody...and there ARE a lot of different parties.

Libertarians.
Green party
Constitution Party
Party for Socialism and Liberation (communist...founded in 2004)
A whole bunch if socialist and communist parties that don't seem to get anywhere...
National Socialist Movement (neo nazis, believe it or not)
United States Marijuana Party...a bunch more....only twelve have had anything like a countable vote total in elections, and the most successful of which, the Libertarians, got a whoppin' big 3.28 % of the vote in 2016.

So...lotsa parties, none of 'em with the chance of an ice cube in the barbeque pit of doing anything but sputtering.

I'm still a Libertarian because in spite of my disdain for the Democrats and what they are doing, I'm not all that fond of the Republicans, either. I'm a sad disappointment to my father.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I wish Colin Powell would run for 2020.

The only person that I would vote over Trump as it stands.
