Power Of Your Mind

I was sitting at home the other day and I was thinking to myself about praying. Now, I don't want to start anykind of hate or anthing against the krie for what I might type.
But I was thinking that the reason that prayers even work is kinda b/c of yourself.
Say if you pray for something and you really don't believe then it will not happen. But say that you are praying so that your mom will feel better and you are crying and are very emotional about that. I think that when people pray in that way then they are opening a portal into themselves. I think that b/c we were raised to think that things could not happen we put up a block so that we would not allow ourselves to tap into this... power. But for that moment when you pray you believe in some kind of force that will make things better that will help you. You open your mind to that point and you place your faith in a "god" but what if that god... is really just you. but the belief in that god helps you to tap into yourself giving you more confidence.

so what do you think?
and sorry if i might have said something offensive.:sorry1:

Yes, I see what you are saying and, to an extent, I agree.

I definitely think that it is more likely that the the advantages of prayer come from some sort of psychological boost you give yourself when you pray, rather than intervention from something divine.

yay... i guess that means i should think more. :D *claps* confidence boost!!! yay!!!

Yes, think more!:D

I have no doubt that you are right. Thought and determination can accomplish wonders. To me, prayer is a form of concentrated feeling 'directed' at whoever, or whatever we are praying for.
