PramAna is proof as means of jnana -- knowledge.

As an Advaitist and Vedantist, I hold that all six classical pramanas as correct means of accurate knowledge and to truth are valid. They are: Pratyakṣa (direct perception), Anumāṇa (inference), Upamāṇa (comparison and analogy), Arthāpatti (postulation, derivation from circumstances), Anupalabdi (non-perception, negative/cognitive proof) and Sabda (word, testimony of an expert, Shruti, agama).

What are the PramAna-s considered valid in your school? It will be interesting to learn of the variety and will also provide incentive for some to explore Nyaya and Buddhist epistemology.

Aupmanyav

Be your own guru
Viveka (discrimination) only can provide proof, when even pratyaksha can be false. Does Aupmanyav really exists? Real, temporary, illusion, what?
Edited to add: After all, that too is perceived by our inadequate senses.
