Prayers for Hurricane Ike Victims

Hey all,

I thought that, in light of the recent Hurricane Ike, the whole of the Christian Community on RF should band together and pray for the victims of the hurricane, and pray that it will hurt no one else.

cardero has posted a thread asking all those that are/have been affected by Hurricane Ike to post and let eveyone know any news and to let us know that you're all right.

Seeing as I started the thread, I would like to post the first prayer. That is, if no one has any objections.

Father,
We ask that you send your protection to all those that are invloved in the Hurricane Ike tragedy.
We ask that you send your healing to all those that need it, and to keep all those safe within your grasp that are in danger.
We know, being humans and christians, that we are most definitely not perfect, but we ask you for help almost daily.
We all accept you as the one true God, with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Please bless us all with your Holy Spirit, and guide us in our quest through life.
Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the eternal glory for ever.
