Sometimes we need a prayer or two as individuals of differing pagan belief. There are so many differences in practice that we may find it hard how to pray for someone else. These prayers are from the Pagan Ritual Prayer Book by Ceiswr Serith. They are some of my favorite ones and seem to be universal; so, if someone asks for a prayer you can always give them these:
As we call out to our deities, our ancestors, and/or our inner self sometimes we need some words of comfort. I call this "I am here," we can start by saying:
I am here
and I belong here.
How could I not when every deed and decision I
or brought good or ill to others,
here is where I belong.
And it is from here that I must pray.

You can substitute She for any source you revere.
You are She, the One without beginning
You are the Mother of All, Who gives birth to the world
You are the Essence, from Whom all things are formed:
Wherever we may look, you will be there
You are She of many names:
When Your true face is known, all naming ceases,
In Your presence all stop in wonder:
All life is a prayer to You.
-
I was told by the ways of the Old Ones that this
Forgive me my doubt, Moon in your darkness
and inspired in me that same germination, that same
may I, through my knowledge of you
win wisdom.

I don't bring incense:
You have incense already--leaves and needles underfoot.
I don't bring libations: You have libations already--streams and springs in the depths.
I don't bring sacrifices: You have sacrifices already--the deaths of plants and animals in your hidden places.
I've brought you instead something you don't already have:
prayers in human words,
prayers are my gift
Thank you Mother. Blessed Be.
In these next words I hear,
speak wisdom, speak truth,
make clear the path that likes before me,
that in the days to come I must walk.
May the words of strangers not be idle talk,
but words from the source.
If you have fears, bring them to Her,
to the Mother of All,
She whose presence is soothing,
whose hands hold love.
There are many prayers in this book. Many devoted to mythological Gods as well as the elements of nature. I hope these prayers are useful. If you decide to buy the book, it may help you even more.
