I'll be following Sunderland again. I've a fiver on them finishing top six @ 16/1 - more money for the bookies no doubt!
In a classic case of heart over head I also put a fiver on them beating Liverpool 1-0 in the opener on Saturday @ 10/1.
At the sharp end of things I hope Liverpool do it and I hope Robbie Keane does it for Liverpool.

Spurs fan here. They disappointed me last season considering the one before they finished 5th, i had money on them making the top 4 and the champions league last season, what a waste of $20 lol.

What do you think of Keane going to Liverpool?
Will they keep Berbatov?

You know where I am, stephen. The Red Devils all the way. With Rondaldo back, we have a great chance of repeating.

Did you bet against Liverpool there just to have a win-win situation?

I thought 10/1 were great odds! It's also win-win.:D

I think it's going to be very interesting at the sharp end. Ronaldo must have ticked off his team mates with the carry on over the summer, Rooney is going to be missing for a while, It seems everything isn't rosy between manager and owners at Liverpool, Chelsea are getting old, could it be Arsenals year?
I'm really looking forward to the first few games to see how things look this year.

Keane got a good deal, 20.3 million is a good deal for him but going behind his clubs back :| I hope he plays poorly and is dropped to 2nd string team for turning his back and letting down his team mates behind their back. His statements have all been crap, he describes great memories, but they cant be that great if he's leaving. Sadly money talks.

Berbatov i think will stay, well im optimistic, he's done well for the spurs i think he got like 27 goals last year. He also scored in the League Cup final. Who knows though, i remmeber i thought Keane was in for the long run, how wrong i was.

Sunderland have got a tough match first up against Liverpool, however in their last appearance they played quite well against Arsenal i thought. We'll see what 3 months off has done to their spirits this weekend:)

I'm looking forward to a season where Liverpool rise to the challenge and take the title for the first time in 19 years, but hey...I've been saying that every season past for the last 5 years. :( Smart money bets we'll be top four finishers again, but No.1?

Eh? no. your attack ain't bad. torres alone is good enough. watcha gonna do in the back? benitez needs a really good defence with how he plays. not the same defence as when they won the CL. they brought some players in but it won't be good enough to cover. i have a feeling they'll really miss Riise, one of their best players, they lost him at a bargain price for roma.

i can see them possibly ahead of arsenal at least...anything outside a top 3 finish this year and it might be time for a new manager because benitez has already had 3 seasons.

lol everton's team sheet is bad, they need to sign some players. blackburn might do even better though.

Disappointing loss on saturday, quite disappointed. Im glad i didnt watch the match.

Should be an interesting match, both teams will want to put a first up loss behind them.

I cant believe Hull City managed to beat Fulham, its good for their first ever match, but i picked Fulham to smash them.

Bye-bye fiver. :p

I can't see past Man United for the title. I'd quite like to see Liverpool do it though.

How is Big *Al* Hutton getting on.

I miss him & his gallops down the wing.Is he settling ok? Is Spurs goallie ok,there was word of you guys coming in for McGregor last season, before he was injured.

I don't particularly affiliate with any English team,My older boy plays for East End Thistle Under 9's currently. They are my team.

Cheers

Well, I finally finished watching Man U's opening match. A bit of a disappointment, but Newcastly played well. There's no reason the Reds shouldn't have scored at least 1 more, though. That match was theirs to be had. Oh well, it's only the first game. There's still plenty of football to come!

The only draw of the first round, quite strange really, i expected a few goal-less draws, and big scores.
Does anyone else think Aston Villa is up for a top 4 finish? They were solid last season and finished in the 8, are they good enough for the 4?

Spurs goalkeeper Gomez in playing against Sunderland this weekend :)

I hope he's wearing his greasy gloves. I've a fiver @14/1 on Sunderland to win 0-1

Excessive odds in my opinion, i think a draw would satasfy both teams, kick off the score board for the year. I don't see Spurs top 4 hopes getting better at the current level sadly :( I watched the borough game and the gap left by Keane is noticeable :(

Barring a huge shock it'll be three defeats out of three after today's game against Chelsea. Unless Spurs improve quick-style Ramos will be the first casualty of the season.
