preparing to meet my maker

I'm not a big believer in End Times and I think that some beliefs about End Times are a bit silly

But the way I see it, it is becoming increasingly possible for some terrible and destructive cataclysm to somehow occur

I'm specifically thinking of a third-world war or something like that

Or maybe some event caused by God that will occur in a world that is already troubled by war, that will put an end to humanity

Who knows!!!

However, I'm not going to dig a bunker or stock up on supplies

Instead I am going to prepare to meet my maker

To do this I am going to commit to studying the bible, to prepare myself for death

I believe that this will help me cultivate a relationship with God, I believe that within its many pages and its hundreds of thousands of words there is much wisdom to be extracted that can help a person know God

I am also going to do more Christian stuff, with other Christians

And one thing's for certain - I will die

Even if the world doesn't end during my life time!

But the prospect of the world ending sometime soon has given me a sense of urgency

Consider this: Doomsday Clock - Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists

Also, I'm not in tip-top health, I have numerous conditions to worry about

So I think now is the time for me to do my best to prepare myself for what happens beyond death

I'm going to start by reading the book of Romans

This is what I think is going to happen to our world:

Best find a lifeboat or you're doomed!!!

You won't be in your lifeboat forever, the Carpathia is only a few hours away :D

(but I'm not sure what that is in my analogy)

Edit: I think it's God!!!
